Story
Meeko is a sweet and handsome boy.  He loves petting and attention.  He does get along well with other cats but prefers his own space. When he meets strangers, he turns on the charm!  He can be mouthy so he needs someone who can channel this. He wears a vest to keep him from scratching his shoulders and gets weekly vest changes, so he needs someone willing and capable of doing this.   Meeko is such a special guy! "Gloria enjoys long naps tucked away in a cubby, but she will wake up for pets and purrs right away! Gloria will follow you around waiting for you to sit, so she can plop down beside you to keep you company and snuggle. She can be shy and take time to warm up to people, but if you take it slow and build trust, she is very social and attached to her human. Gloria is also a big fan of other cats! She will walk up and give lots of nudges and cleans her feline companions, and you can often find her napping with a buddy too."Apply for this sweet angel today. Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Emery and Sage are a bonded pair of kittens that we rescued separately when they we super tiny but since being raised together in their foster home they have become inseparable siblings and would love to be adopted as a pair. They are equally loving, sweet, playful and affectionate. They are definitely a dynamic duo. Emery is a little boy, and Sage is a little girl. They are 5 months old and would love to find a forever home that will spoil them rotten. Emery has a medium length coat, and Sage is a short haired tabby. They could easily join a home with another cat, cat savvy dog, or kids. They are so much fun. They of course enjoy playing and wrestling with each other, but when it is cuddle time, they both pile on their foster mom for some love. They have great temperaments and can't wait to find their forever home. Would you like to meet these cutie pies? Appy to adopt them today. They have been spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350 for both.December 2, 2024, 9:33 pm

Story
*** Jenny and Junior are in our PetSmart Encinitas adoption center ***Jenny: brown tabby, medium hair, spayed female, born approx. 10/1/24, #19484Junior: gray & white bicolor, medium hair, neutered male, born approx. 10/1/24, #19185 Cats: **BONDED PAIR** & love others!Dogs: unknownChildren: gentle ones likely okay BACKGROUND: These fluffballs were found in a colony of cats overseen by a caretaker who strives to get everyone spayed and neutered. Since they were young enough to be socialized to live with people, Jenny and Junior moved into foster care; though nervous at first, with love and care they blossomed into sweet friendly kittens who are now ready to find a forever home!PERSONALITY: Jenny and Junior are very playful kittens! They love to leap after interactive wands you provide, and play high-speed hallway soccer as they bat their toys around. After their energy has been expended (for now, they are kittens after all), they love to curl up in a combined ball of soft fur near a sunny window. They can be a little reserved with strangers, but once they get acquainted then they’ll be getting up on the bed with you and when you put them on your lap they’ll stay for pets and attention (though may not currently settle for long because they have lots to do!).---Jenny and Junior have a close connection and MUST be adopted together.COMPATIBILITY: Our super-fluffs adore each other and get along great with the resident adult cats in their foster home. They love them all. We haven’t seen them around dogs or children, though if they are given a proper introduction and are handled gently we think they could adapt to both. Jenny and Junior are lucky kittens who were rescued at the right time to give them better opportunities in life. They’ll make wonderful additions to their forever family… maybe yours?

Story
*** Meatloaf & Austin are at The Cat Cafe in downtown San Diego. ***Meatloaf: gray tabby, medium hair, neutered male, born 4/4/24, #19520 Austin: gray/black tabby & white, short hair, neutered male, born 4/4/24, #19521Cats: **BONDED PAIR** & like othersDogs: possiblyChildren: good with 5+ BACKGROUND: The mother of Meatloaf and Austin was pregnant when she was found by a kind-hearted elderly couple who live near a county shelter where animals often get abandoned. They took her in and she gave birth to these boys in their laundry room. However, the couple are older and now finding it difficult to physically care for the cats. A family member reached out to The Rescue House to ask if we could help.PERSONALITY: A penthouse with a view (aka a tall cat tree near a sunny window) is the perfect spot for these boys to chill and relax and watch the world go by. If you bring out a lickable squeeze Churu-type treat, you’ll certainly have their attention and it’s a good way to say hello!---Austin is reserved at first meeting then turns super sweet and affectionate. He prefers it when things aren’t too loud yet still lets the elementary-age children he knows well carry him around. Mysteriously-moving toys entice his curiosity over noise-making toys, and interactive wands are lots of fun! (And feathers are extra fun.) ---Meatloaf is more laidback and quicker to adjust. This big boy started out life as the largest of the litter and stayed true (hence the name). He’s a mellow guy who enjoys both petting time and playing time. Bring out a feather wand and he quickly gets keenly focused.---Austin and Meatloaf paired up early amongst their siblings and other feline friends. They MUST be adopted together.COMPATIBILITY: The boys adore each other and are comfortable living with other cats. They haven’t directly interacted with any dogs, though they have seen a small dog at a distance and seemed curious rather than concerned. They have done well with the 5 and up kids they know, though they haven’t met any younger children.Meatloaf and Austin have known love all their lives and want that to continue! Will this brotherly duo mesh perfectly into your heart and home?
