Story
Rhiannon (aka Rhi-Rhi aka Little Lion) is a special cat looking for a calm home to spend the rest of her days. She loves to give gentle face sniffs, get a good brushing, and of course receive some good chin and ear scratches. Her two absolute favorite things in the world are lounging in afternoon sunny spots and her crinkled paper ball. Rhiannon spends most of the day dozing, but as soon as she hears the rustle of her paper ball she is at the ready to play a very slow game of fetch. She truly carries one of her many crinkled balls with her everywhere she goes and back to her bed before snuggling up to nap again. She also loves to stand on her hind-legs at the window and chirp at the birds! While Rhiannon still has a playful side, she is arthritic and a bit wobbly when she moves around. She takes 3 medications daily mixed into wet food (no fuss). She would do best in a home without other pets or very young children. (She has lived with another cat successfully while in the shelter, but she has not befriended her foster’s cats.) She’s made great progress in her foster home, opening up to receiving pets and being brushed, but she can still startle easily. She would benefit from living with someone who can read cat body language well and provide her space when requested. She will do best in a calm home with children.over 10 years old. Yourtube video playing fetch: https://youtu.be/-paUD1sGXn8 Rhiannon is vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and is microchipped.

My sweet little chirp will make your heart flutter! I am a good natured fluff ball that enjoys lounging about, but here and there I'll have bouts of play. I would do well in just about any home, but may do better in a home without toddlers (I have a sensitive back end on occasion due to my ongoing medical needs). But otherwise I am full of love and will have you smiling every time you see my cute little face! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Tabby Age: 1yrs 3mths 1wks

Story
I'm a distinguished older gentleman with a few extra gray whiskers, a steady gaze, and a heart full of magic waiting to be shared. I may not be a rambunctious kitten anymore, but I'm a master in the arts of gentle companionship,  window gazing and the occasional enchanted purr. My ideal day includes a sunbeam nap, a few head scratches, and curling up beside you while you read or work.Because I am an older boy that's more sensitive to touch, I would like to spend my days in a quiet home without little ones running around. Primary Color: Black Age: 14yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with some experience Could join a calm, quiet home with teens Needs to be in a home without dogs Needs a cat buddy Needs to be indoor only Butterfly’s waiting for you, with a heart as warm as the sun she loves to bask in! This shy girl is a sweet wallflower with a gentle soul and a curious mind, preferring to observe the world from a cozy nook or sunny patch of floor. But give her a little time, and Butterfly will inch close, slowly revealing her soft and playful side.   When Butterfly’s in the mood to play, she truly lets her inner kitten shine. She loves a good ripple rug, where she bunny-kicks and flops around without a care in the world. Feather wands are another favorite, especially when she’s playing one-on-one without other cats around. And if there’s Churu nearby? She’ll appear out of thin air to politely ask for a taste.   Butterfly isn’t the type to demand attention, but she loves being in the mix, watching and learning from the sidelines. She takes her time warming up to new people and places, but once you’re in her circle of trust, she’ll come out more and more, sharing her quiet love and unique charm with the people lucky enough to be in her presence. Running a gentle toothbrush along her silky fur is the way to her heart — she leans in and rolls over, inviting you to give her chin scratches and maybe even a belly rub. While she’ll likely start off preferring her hidey spots, you’ll soon find her basking in the sun, stretching out and enjoying her safe and cozy home.   With her long and beautiful fur, Butterfly needs an adopter who’ll commit to regular grooming. It’s worth the effort, though! Since we gave her a little shave to remove some mats, she’s been a totally different cat, more relaxed and open to attention. Her adopter should be ready to give her that gentle care, knowing how much it improves her happiness and well-being. Butterfly is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV and positive for FIV. Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with some cat experience Could join a calm home with teens May prefer to be the only cat Needs to be indoor only   Precious little Strawberry is a purring machine who loves being around people, once you have earned her trust. You can get her to trill and purr just by looking at her! Strawberry is the ultimate sidekick who will perk up whenever you get up or do something.  She will wait outside the bathroom for your return, and will follow you to bed so she can curl up next to you. She is both solicitous and polite, with an adorable meow that is mostly silent except for the start and end of it. Her foster parent is completely charmed by Strawberry’s habit of licking her hand before rubbing her face on it while being petted, like she’s using her foster’s hand as a paw to clean her face.  Strawberry enjoys spending her days just hanging out, but also loves to explore and play with stick and string toys with her people, pouncing and shaking her head when she catches her toy “prey.” She has sensitive joints and may need a bit of extra attention with diet and medication because of her age. But middle age also comes with the advantages of dignity, serenity, resilience and contentment, and these are sweet Strawberry’s super powers. If you are looking for a sweet, chirpy, attentive companion, Strawberry may be the one for you. Strawberry is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FELV/FIV. Story
STOCKTON, CA:  We have been asked by Save Our Kitties Stockton (SOKS) to crosspost Jessie, a senior female kitty in need of a new home.  Jessie was born in approximately January 2007.  The following information was taken from Jessie’s listing on the SOS AdoptaPet page: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/40521666-stockton-california-cat ~~~~~~~~ Hello, wonderful humans! My name is Jessie, but my poppa always called me Baby Kitty, and it's a name that suits me just fine. I've had quite the journey in my 17 years, and I'm ready to embark on a new adventure with a loving family who will cherish me as much as my momma and poppa did. You see, my momma passed away about five years ago, and my poppa joined her on New Year's Day of 2024. It's been a bit lonely without them, but I'm still full of love and affection to give. Despite being 17 years young, I'm as sprightly as ever and ready to help you keep your couch warm on chilly winter days and nights. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a connoisseur of wet food and kitty treats, and I'll never say no to a good furminator brushing session to keep my long silky fur looking fabulous. I may be a little feisty at times, but hey, who isn't? It just adds to my charm! I do not tolerate other felines well and may need my own kingdom but my foster family is experimenting with this theory. Back in my heyday, I spent a lot of time in the company of small dogs, but sadly, they've all crossed the rainbow bridge due to old age. However, I'm open to making new furry friends if given the chance. Growing up in Lodi's wine country, I enjoyed the freedom of a kitty door and loved prowling outside in the warm weather in my safe backyard. Ah, those were the days! My recent health check at the vet was very positive, and they even gave me a rabies vaccine to keep me in tip-top shape. I believe I would thrive best in a calm, loving, kitty-friendly home with folks who appreciate the uniqueness of feline companionship. If you're seeking a loyal and affectionate companion who will bring warmth and joy to your home, then look no further than me, Jessie "Baby Kitty." If you think we could be a purrfect match, please reach out to SOKS today to arrange a meet-and-greet. I can't wait to meet my new forever family and start this exciting new chapter of my life with you! Watch Jessie's videos here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cui9O8Ei4-M and https://youtu.be/DE0T9Zq6QGA ~~~~~~~~~ This is a Courtesy Post, and Jessie is with Save Our Kitties Stockton (SOKS) in Stockton, California.  For more information, please contact SOS directly at soks.adopt@gmail.com or 209-623-9223.  Visit their website at https://www.sokstockton.org/ Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cats’ status with the rescue group and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.  October 26, 2024, 8:18 pm
