Story
Meet Fluffers, a calm and shy boy who once ruled the roost as the king of his home with multiple other cats. He enjoys chatting with his brother from across the room, offering soft meows to keep in touch. Fluffers has a glorious long coat that’s as majestic as his personality, and though he’s still warming up to his new surroundings, he’s already showing us his gentle, quiet nature. We’re still getting to know him, but it’s clear that Fluffers would thrive in a peaceful, patient home where he can feel safe and comfortable. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion with a touch of royal charm, Fluffers might be the perfect addition to your family! All of our cats are spayed/neutered, dewormed, FELV tested, microchipped, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-cats

Story
My brother, Shamus, and I are nearing the end of our internships in foster care and are seeking full-time employment opportunities with a forever family. Full transparency, my brother’s people skills are farther along than mine; being pet is still pretty confusing for me. I’d love the chance to continue my progress in my forever environment. I’m mostly interested in the following types of positions: Litter Box Scooper Supervisor or Mouse Destroyer (the purple, cloth kind). Qualifications are many and some highlights include:-Stellar goalie skills. As my mom works to help me understand that people hands = good things, we play one of my favorite games ever! I love my dry snackies, and she’ll slide one piece at a time across the floor for me to catch. Seriously, try to get one past me. It’s impossible. I got skills.-Spoon handling (my mom has such a thing for getting me to understand that her hands mean good things; she’s a little obsessed). I prefer to eat my canned food directly from the spoon in my mom’s hands than from the dish. Or, sometimes, I bat the food off the spoon so that I can eat it off the floor. It just tastes so much better than straight from the dish.-Diligent supervision. Whether it be scooping the litter boxes or any other activity, I am right there making sure everything goes smoothly.SPECIAL NOTES: I am bonded to my brother, Shamus, and we have to find a home together

My brother, Logan, and I are nearing the end of our internships in foster care and are seeking full-time employment opportunities with a forever family. I’m mostly interested in positions such as Snuggler-in-Chief, Purr Master, Toy Fetcher, or Hair Icon.Qualifications are many and some highlights include:-Unparalleled fetch skills. Balls, springs, mice, wand toys – doesn’t matter. You ask me to bring a toy, Imma bring a toy…to your lap on the armchair, to your exercise mat, to your bed so that you can throw it for me over and over and over (and over and over and over) again.-Lap warming skills are purrfection (though watch my gorgeous tail; I’ve been told I tend to smack my mom in the face as I’m getting comfy on her lap, but like, really?)-Hops! You should see my vertical. When I play, I play HARD and don’t currently know how to self-regulate. When I start panting from over-exertion, my foster mom makes me take a short break. -Amateur hypnotist. My pupils are ringed by a gorgeous bluish green, before transitioning to the traditional “cat yellow.” -The silkiest coat of fur and a long, glorious, constantly happy tail.SPECIAL NOTES: I am bonded to my brother, Logan, and we have to find a home together

Story
Hello there! I’m BJ, a dashing long-haired black boy with a heart of gold. You might not see my luxurious locks right now because I`ve had to get a shave due to being very matted. But don`t worry, my fur will grow back and I`ll need frequent brushing to keep it in top shape.I have a special talent for giving headbutts to get your attention—it`s my way of saying `Hey, I’m here! Give me some love!` I firmly believe that both of your hands should always be dedicated to either holding me or petting me. One hand just won`t do!When it comes to making biscuits, I’m an expert. Give me a cozy, comfy cat bed and watch me go to work. I also have a soft spot for small toy mice—chasing them around is one of my favorite pastimes.I`m ready to find my forever home where I can share my love and be pampered. Will you be the one to give me all the attention and care I deserve? Let`s make some beautiful memories together! This cat attends adoption events at our Verona Adoption Center.READY TO ADOPT?
