Story
Spayed female 5 years old (estimated) Affectionate but unsure and stressed in the shelter Looking for a quiet, calm home Bonded with Taron and they must be adopted together I'm a stunning girl who's journey brought my brother, Taron, and I to the shelter when our previous owner could no longer care for us, and it's been quite the adjustment. We've spent a lot of time hiding as we navigate this new environment, but I'm starting to come out of my shell. I've begun to accept gentle pets and even belly rubs, revealing glimpses of my loving nature. Deep down, I'm a sweetheart who just needs patience and understanding to blossom fully. Taron and I are a bonded pair, seeking a home where we can share our love and companionship. If you're ready to welcome us into your heart, we're ready to fill it with purrs and affection. Taron and I are a bonded pair so we have a special two for the price of one adoption fee to help us find a home together! It's the Summer of Love! Our adoption fee is half price throughout July!July 5, 2024, 8:17 pm

Neutered male 5 years old (estimated) Loving and affectionate Looking for a calm, quiet home Bonded with Freya and they must be adopted together My journey led me to the shelter alongside my sister Freya when our previous owner couldn't care for us anymore. It's been a tough adjustment for us, and we've spent a lot of time hiding as we navigate this new environment. But recently, I've been showing my true colors – a sweet and affectionate boy who craves pets and cuddles. I'll happily rub up against you to show my appreciation for your affection. Freya and I are inseparable, seeking a patient adopter who understands the challenges we've faced and is willing to give us the time and understanding we need to settle into our new home. Ready to open your heart to a bonded pair like us? Freya and I are a bonded pair so we have a special two for the price of one adoption fee to help us find a home together! It's the Summer of Love! My adoption fee is half price throughout July!July 5, 2024, 8:17 pm

Story
Meet Penelope! This tortie darling will melt your heart. More sweet than sass, she is on the bashful side, but warms up quickly and becomes more talkative as she settles in.  She loves snuggles, head and back scratches, and batting around her toys. And let's face it, she’s a beauty! And soft. So soft.  She welcomes being brushed and needs it to keep that pretty coat shining.   Penelope is looking for someone who can embrace her extra needs. She has periodontal disease and had several teeth extracted, but a recent veterinary exam showed her to be in good health and is not currently in need of a dental, but may be required in the future due to her condition. She also has a sensitive tummy and is on prescription hydrolyzed protein food, which she eats up like a champ.     Penelope hasn’t shown much interest in befriending her fosters’ resident, but may be able to coexist with another chill cat given a slow introduction.  She may do best in a low-energy household, but who knows how bright this star can shine! Approximate DOB: 2016 Foster Home Location: Milwaukee    If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff     Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the cats that interest you. All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home. &#226&#128&#139 Our adoption fees: Kittens (under 6 months): $150 (or 2 for $225) Adults (6 months to 7 years): $75 (or 2 for $100) Seniors (8 years and up): $40 (or 2 for $60)     All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies (if age appropriate) and distemper, and microchipped.July 7, 2024, 8:23 pm

Story
Roy G Biv. In a nutshell. He's really hairy and eats way too many churus. He follows you around like a boss and watches every move you make. He loves to play with toys, until he doesn't. Then he'll just kick back and watch you try to engage him, all the while silently judging you. He'll chatter on about this or that. Mostly about his getting his meals on time. But he'll remove himself from your presence if you've got too much to say. He wants you near him, but probably not too close. He'll decide that. Every day is different. He won't sit on your lap, only at your side. After some time, he'll walk away like you've offended him. He won't wear a hat, although I tried. But he will occasionally wipe out while walking across the floor and look at you like you pushed him. On a rare occasion, he'll give you a love-bite, just for funsies. He's pretty specific about who he spends time with. He prefers to have the place to himself, with no other pets. He's just Roy. Rescued from the streets as a feral stray. Loves his people, his way.
