Story
Miranda is the perfect mix of sweet and sassy! With her beautiful long fur and big, bright eyes, she’s ready to charm anyone who meets her. She’s an active little kitten who loves climbing, exploring, and finding new places to hang out. But don’t let her playful side fool you—Miranda also loves snuggling up for a nap after a busy day of adventures. She’s sure to bring joy, energy, and cuteness into any home! Please remember that they are kittens and kitten behavior comes with the package. They need lots of toys and places to scratch to learn good scratching habits. They also need patience as they finesse their litter box skills in a new home they are unfamiliar with. This pet is available for adoption at the Ellensburg Humane Society. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Before you go searching for free kittens or kittens for sale, check your local Shelters for available cats and kittens that have been vetted and are ready to go home. Adopt Don`t Shop.

Story
Personality: Max is a sweet, gentle soul who’s looking for his forever home where he can relax and feel truly safe. Though he may take a little time to warm up, once he trusts you, he’s an affectionate companion who loves gentle pets and soft whispers. Max is a bit on the shy side, but with a little TLC, he’ll blossom into the loving, loyal friend you’ve been looking for. He appreciates quiet moments, soft spots to nap, and the occasional chin scratch that lets him know he’s cared for.Likes: Cozy naps in sunbeams, head scratches, a calm environment, and food (he’s definitely a foodie, and he knows what he likes!). He’s also a fan of soft blankets and comfy places to curl up.Dislikes: Loud noises, sudden movements, and anything that makes him feel unsettled. Max prefers slow, deliberate attention and a peaceful, stable routine.Fun Fact: Max may be a bit reserved at first, but once he feels safe and loved, he’ll reward you with quiet moments of affection. His sleek black coat is just as striking as his gentle personality, and with a little patience, he’ll be your best friend for life. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society - Ellensburg adoption center. Story
These two sweeties are in need of a loving, caring home. They get along with just about everyone. They will tolerate small dogs that don't bother them. They love to be pet and enjoy a cozy lap. Buddha is a sweet male. He is loving and very personable. (neutered) Jade is a shy female. She will sit with you after she has a chance to check you out. (spayed) They have been together their entire life. I believe they are 8 years old. They are letter box trained and enjoy playing with their toys. Due to some serious health issues - my Aunt has had to move into a nursing home and can no longer keep them or her apartment.

Good with kids, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Biscuit is a 3 year old tuxedo cat, spayed, microchipped and up to date on her rabies shots. She's very playful, will play fetch for as long as you'll throw her little stuffed skunk toy and she's very affectionate! The only downside is she doesn't seem to get along with other cats very well, and I don't know how she does with dogs. She'd be ideal for a one-cat household with enough time to play with her regularly; if she sounds like a good match for you or someone you know please message me and let me know
