Here's what you need to know about me:I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.If there are kids in my new home, I prefer them to be older than 6and would like to meet them before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more. Primary Color: Black Weight: 8.5 Age: 2yrs 2mths 1wks

Here's what you need to know about me:I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable. But once I get to know you, I'm very loving.I have some handling sensitivity. I am not very comfortable with being held and would prefer to keep my paws on the floor. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more!If there are kids in my new home, I need to meet them before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more.I need a slow introduction to cats. I can share my space with cats, but I'd like to get used to the idea over time. Primary Color: Black Weight: 8.68 Age: 2yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Croft is a very sweet and talkative cat. She has been declawed on all 4 paws. She has been an indoor cat her whole life. We adopted her as a kitten from a veterinary assistant. She has been spayed. She will greet you most times you come near her and loves skritches and pets. She loves to rub up against your legs and rubs against our mellow golden retriever's face. Croft is about 7 years old. We have 2 younger cats that are bigger than her and have bullied her to the point that she no longer comes upstairs in our house. Croft needs a nice mellow home without other cats and without hyperactive dogs. She also needs relatively frequent brushing due to her long hair, otherwise she will develop small matts in her fur. Croft eats dry cat food, and will only lick wet cat food and treats.

Story
Rufus is a wonderful boy. Everyone loves him except my neighbor. We’ve had to keep him inside the house since our neighbor has expressed their feelings about Rufus and he’s grown depressed and anxious. He loves to be an in and out kitty with freedom to roam about. He’s a good snuggler once he’s warmed up and is really funny when he has the zoomies. He loves his toys and plays well with our little ones. The adoption fee is for Rufus, his food, and litter.

What my friends at OHS say about me:Do you enjoy your kitties sweet and spicy? Then I'm your guy!I should be pursuing a modeling career, but instead I'm just looking for a nice family to call my own.I am very confident and love exploring!Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!Overstimulation: I enjoy interacting with people, but petting can easily become overwhelming and unpleasant for me. I may exhibit my discomfort in a variety of ways, including biting, and need an owner who pays close attention to my body language.Handling Sensitivity: I can be overwhelmed by overhandling, restraint or touch. I may exhibit my discomfort in a variety of ways and will need to go to cat savvy home.I came to Oregon Humane with bladder stones and am at risk of developing them again. The type of home I'm looking for:I need a home without cats or other small animals. It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process.
