Story
Meet Gale! This sweet, long-haired kitten is playful, affectionate, and loves snuggling after a good play session. She has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which gives her mild wobbles, but it doesn't slow her down (at least not much!). Gale is looking for a loving home that can embrace her unique charm and give her the care she deserves. If you're ready to give this little wobbly cutie a forever home, Gale is waiting to meet you! I am spayed or neutered, vaccinated as appropriate for my age, microchipped, and FeLV tested. My adoption fee is $99.If you are interested in adopting me, please complete our online Adoption Application at https://rvspca.org/adopt/application/The Roanoke Valley SPCA offers adoptions by appointments Tuesday - Saturday between Noon and 7pm. Appointments can be made by calling 540-339-9247. Walk-in's will be offered the next available appointment. Pets are adopted on a first come basis. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold pets nor guarantee a pet will be available at the time of your appointment, but we do promise to call you if a pet is adopted prior to your appointment. The Roanoke Valley SPCA has embraced Fear Free Shelters philosophy and are committed to giving each pet in our care a fear free experience while looking for their forever homes. The Fear Free® philosophy is designed to reduce the negative emotional states that are commonly experienced by shelter animals, including fear, anxiety, stress, and frustration. We offer virtual walk thru of available pets on our website and at our shelter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ginny is a sweet girl who will make sure you don't forget dinner time! Her vocal exercises crack us up. She would love to be adopted with her twin sister Lily. Her adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. November 15, 2024, 10:33 pm
