Story
For The Cats' Sake BLONDIE is a beautiful cat who came to us with kittens when we rescued them from outside an apartment building. BLONDIE was semi-feral when we got her, and fearful of people, but not aggressive. After getting to know humans better, she let's us  stroke her and even pick her up but she is not cuddly, and will just take that special cat person to form a bond, and help her that last step of the way . She does love a little outside space whether it is a porch, deck or chance to go outside once she's really established in her forever home. BLONDIE is also good with other cats, but most likely would not be the best with small children. Please fill out our online form if you might be interested in adopting this beauty: https://form.jotform.com/81848821130152   ONLINE ADOPTION FORM:        https://form.jotform.com/81848821130152 We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life. TNR and a whole lot more... December 14, 2024, 1:25 pm

Story
Meet Agate! “Agate and his brother, Onyx were found in a Culpeper backyard at just 4 months old. They were very bonded and Agate felt safe with Onyx. Sadly, Onyx passed away and Agate struggled for a while without him. He now has buddies that are both fosters and permanent cats at his foster home, whom he loves to play and snuggle. Agate is  handsome, long0haired tabby. He is that socially awkward shy and handsome guy that doesn’t know how handsome he is. He loves the company of other cats and is learning to trust people more and more. He is. VERY  friendly and charming. At dinner time, he head butts and rubs up against his foster mom in an effort to get as much wet food as he can. During the rest of the day, though Agate is more skittish and may startle if approached too quickly . He appears to be more comfortable around men than women, but, as mentioned earlier, does well with his foster mom. It's hard to say what happened to this poor baby in his past to make him so shy. Agate would be most comfortable in a quiet, low to medium level energy home. He will need a patient human or family who understands that he is shy and will  give him the time he needs to acclimate. He will need another cat or two who he can snuggle with and be buddy up with in his new home. He would love to have living space where he can have some hiding places and taller areas to survey the world from. “Agate is dewormed, up to date on his FVCRP and Rabies vaccines, neutered, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Please think of giving this sweet boy a warm and loving home for the holidays. You won't regret it. GoodMews22@aol.com or call 540.717.4420.November 19, 2024, 1:40 am

Meet SnowBall, the cutest little package of white and gray fluff you've ever seen! SnowBall was found all alone at just 4 -5 weeks, on the side of the road on  a frigid December night by Good Samaritans.SnowBall loves to snuggle and will curl up right under your neck. But when she’s ready to play, she is on! She is the fastest little fluff ball around! We’re thinking of entering her in the kitten Olympics! She loves to play with her dangling toys and jingle balls and is very curious about other cats and absolutely loves people. She MUST be adopted with another kitten. ($55 discount when adopting two.)SnowBall will be ready to go home after her booster vaccine, approximately the 1st week of January, but you can pre-adopt her now. She is/will be dewormed, spayed, receive her FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, be combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay to re-register every year, we've done it for you!nterested? Please fill out an application at: https://www.jotform.com/form/221029453063044December 20, 2024, 1:10 am

Story
Meet Lurch, Pugsley, and Gomez, 3 little kittens are 9 - 10 weeks old and recently came to us from a VA shelter when the shelter was overcrowded and animals were at risk of euthanasia. These 3 brothers are a bit shy and timid currently but are very playful and sweet. Lurch is a long-haired black kitten, Pugley and Gomez are black and white masked tuxedos, each with white mustaches. Because they are so young, they will need to be adopted with another kitten ($55 discount when adopting two) and will require a low to moderate activity house with kids over the age of 4 years old.All are/will be dewormed, receive 2 FVRCP vaccines, a Rabies vaccine, be combo tested, neutered, and microchipped with a lifetime registration, No need to pay to re-register every year we've done it for you.
