Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dandy is a sweet little man who is very clearly as handsome as ever a cat can be. He's full of energy and love to play, and he also likes to cuddle and sleep on your lap. He definitely needs a kitten around his own age; if you don't already have one for him, he'd love to be adopted with one of his siblings. You can see more of his story on Facebook and Instagram at the hashtag #debifostersdandelionfluff Dandy's adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, especially kittens, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!). We welcome applications from outside the Lynchburg area; just keep in mind that non-local adopters must wait till he is neutered before taking him home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. June 2, 2025, 9:05 pm

Story
Catrick is one of four in a litter. Catrick is a male semi-long hair kitten with an adoption fee $100, which includes having him neutered. Catrick's estimated birthday is March 28th 2025. The adoption fee for Catrick is $100, but from now until the end of June, if you adopt him along with another sibling, you can take them both home for $150! He is a happy kitten and is learning to climb and play with toys. He follows the foster mom around looking for attention. He will require lots of attention to keep him from getting into trouble as a young kitten. Catrick has been dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Since he is not yet neutered, Catrick is not available for adoption outside of the counties contiguous to Bedford County.
