Story
Toast is the SWEETEST boy who has been through so much medically as a kitten. He was rescued from a local animal shelter where he had a double severe eye infection that almost cost him both eyes. He then battled ringworm which took an additional month to clear. After spending his whole life on medication, he is ready to find a home. He is waiting for his very own family that can show him it was all worth it! He has a watery eye, but he continues to profess! He loves other cats, he’s used to dogs, he’s very affectionate, and he is super handsome! If you are interested in Toast, please submit an application today! Willow is VERY sweet and loves affection. She loves attention so much she will crawl right into your lap and ask for it herself. She does well with cats, but she has to be introduced to them slowly. She loves her sister Winnie, but they can go to separate homes. Story
Affectionate Ayisha was rescued together with a bushel of kittens. Not knowing which kittens belonged to which mom...Ayisha stayed together and remained close companions with Ruth another Tortie and Delilah. Based on their close relationship we supposed they could be mother/daughter or sisters. Ayisha now stays in a a cat dorm with several other cats, and kittens. She loves sun bathing, is extremely affectionate, quiet, loves being pet, purrs constantly whether she is being pet or you're just in her presence. She is playful, especially with Catnip toys. She can be very friendly even to new people she hasn't even met before. She would do well in a Low-Mid Energy home, one that is looking to give her all the love and pets she wants. If you're looking for a beautiful, affectionate Tortie who absolutely loves being pet then look no further, Affectionate Ayisha is the perfect gal! Please text or call Toni @ 540-419-5335 to set up meeting or fostering one of the most affectionate cats there is today!

Story
Prime Rib's story: Prime Rib was seen roaming on our property, so we set up a humane trap and were able to rescue her. Prime Rib was extremely stressed when she came into our care, and based off her behavior, we don't believe she has had much contact with humans. We are so thankful we caught her before winter came!  Since being with us, she has become more comfortable living inside, and is seen hiding less and less. She is currently the only long-haired cat that we have, and has a gorgeous tuxedo coat. Some of her favorite things to do are look out her window and watch staff/volunteers walk by. She will even meow 'hello' sometimes! We are hopeful with a patient owner, Prime will blossom into a social butterfly!  Are you the perfect forever home for Prime Rib? Story
Corn Bread's story: Corn Bread was surrendered to a local shelter when her previous owner had too many cats. Corn Bread made her way to us due to the shelter being overcrowded. This sweet, timid girl is taking her time coming out of her shell, but we don't mind!  While we are still learning about Cornbread, we think a relatively quite home with adult children would suite her best due to her shy nature.  Are you the perfect forever home for Corn Bread? Story
Age/DOB: 5-13-2024 Meet Shortbread – A Sweet and Spunky Survivor Looking for Love! Shortbread is a stunning little whirlwind of love, mischief, and purrs. This feisty kitten has already faced more than her fair share of challenges in life, but she’s come out on top with a big heart and an unstoppable spirit. Found as a tiny kitten in a parking lot – blind from eye infections and teetering on the brink – Shortbread has triumphed over pneumonia and continues to tackle chronic rhinitis like a pro. Her health quirks come with a dose of charm: expect a snotty sneeze here and there, and the occasional need for antibiotics. But does she let that slow her down? Not a chance! Shortbread is all about chasing toys, zooming from room to room in hilarious spurts of energy, and melting into snuggles once she’s tired herself out. While she’ll need a family prepared to monitor her health and provide some extra TLC, the reward is immeasurable. Shortbread will fill your days with joy, laughter, and a love so big it will make every effort worthwhile. This special kitten is on the hunt for her forever family – one who will adore her snotty sneezes, celebrate her victories, and give her the supportive home she deserves. Are you ready to make Shortbread’s dreams come true? She’s ready to bring endless purrs, playful antics, and unconditional love into your life. I am spayed, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and am up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. You may apply to adopt at www.purrsandwhiskers.org/adopt ##2151895##

Story
We believe Sasha was abandoned by our neighbors in our apartment complex during their move. She is very calm and likes to stay in her room even if the door is open.. she is very shy and mysterious.. she needs someone who is patient and kind to bring her out of her she’ll. She is very sweet with our small dog and our other cat .. unfortunately we are unable to take on another animal at this time and would love to find her a loving companion.
