Story
Meowy, (Howdy in English) My name is Irene. I'm a 5-year-old Goddess. My coat is long and silky. I have golden eyes. I'm a gem says my foster mom. About me: I'm quiet, except for when I want more food, I make sure mom fills my bowl immediately! I am shy. If you give me some time and space, I will come to trust you. I'd like to be the only child, but as long as I'm left alone, I will tolerate other cats. I love to be brushed and get scratches. I love to play with straws, catnip toys and lasers. I mostly sleep where I feel safe and hidden. If I'm hiding and you need to find me, just shake the treat bag. I will do anything for treats! The most important thing is I would love to find my furrever home. I look forward to meeting you! Meow, Irene

Story
If sweet Stella looks sad, she is Her human mom is very sick and unable to care for her any longer.  An only cat, she was adopted from us in 2021 after raising her kittens, and has been a spoiled rotten baby ever since. This girl needs love, a warm lap, and lots of brushing that long floofy coat. And she's still a very playful girl! Now apprx  4 years old, she is fully vetted, microchipped, and available to meet at Lake Anna.  Please email megshrum@gmail.com with questions and follow the adoption process below. The Adoption Process If you are ready to meet this feline please fill out an online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your internet browser: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10664/generic Once your application is submitted, we will contact the vet reference provided. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about their likes, dislikes, and little quirks.   The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the feline home as your furry forever friend, their adoption fee is $125. Should the match turn out less than perfect, or if you are unwilling or unable to care for an adopted animal, the Louisa Humane Society will take the animal back into our care. ##1142765##
