Story
Ginger is what my foster mom calls me, I cannot get her to understand my name when I talk to her. Here is my story: my owners, I am sure had a good reason, dumped me and my two babies in the parking lot of a grocery store. Thank goodness it was time for the colony feeder to feed that night. As she drove up, there, my two babies and I were walking around in the parking lot. The colony feeder quickly left to get help. Over the next week, we were all caught and put into safety under the care of Bedford Humane Society. I am a sweet girl that loves to be petted and I also do not mind having my hair combed. My hair looks almost black but it is a dark brown. I have gold eyes like the sun. I like being picked up and loved on. I would be good around children. I am spayed, up to date on my vaccines, test NEG for Filv/FIV and microchipped. My adoption fee of $100.00 helps pay for the medical I have received. If you are looking for a new fur baby to love on, please submit an application. For more information, please call the Bedford Humane Society at 540-586-6100, or go to https://www.bhsva.org/adoptables to fill out an adoption application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ginny is a sweet girl who will make sure you don't forget dinner time! Her vocal exercises crack us up. She would love to be adopted with her twin sister Lily. Her adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. November 15, 2024, 10:33 pm
