Story
Cricket is a sweet boy of just over 1 year! He is a handsome boy who will greet you with the sweetest squeaky meow and who enjoys pets and human affection! We are pre-approving applicants. To schedule an appointment, first fill out our adoption application ( https://cb8f5fb7-0a87-40fa-8ea5-50c4da40acd3.filesusr.com/ugd/c8cb9f_8cd13866ecd54a42a2b424d2b2f8dc10.pdf ). This will ask you questions about which animal you’re interested in, your family, other furry members in the household, whether you own or rent your home and who your Veterinarian is. These allow us to make the best match possible. We touch base with your landlord due to the unfortunate number of landlords who do not allow pets in Franklin County. Our goal with checking in with your Veterinarian is to ensure that the animals of FCAR receive the medical care they deserve. Once we have a positive reference from your landlord (if you rent) and Veterinarian, we will contact you to schedule an appointment with us! If you don't have any pets we understand you would not have a vet reference and we ask for applicants to substitute a personal reference. Please keep in mind, appointments are first come, first serve, based on when your application is approved. Please be patient with your Veterinarian and landlord, as their staff and businesses have been affected by COVID-19 as well. We are incredibly thankful that there has been no shortage in interest! This being said, our staff is limited and we are doing our absolute best to approve applications in a timely manner. This process can take up to a few weeks, but most are approved before then.

Story
Otto is part of a group of kittens who are 5-6 months old. Otto and Catarina are very close friends. We will only adopt these kittens out as a pair. Otto is gorgeous with his silver-gray long coat. He holds back at first, but if you pick him up he will start purring and never stop. Catarina is a beautiful brown tiger girl. She is timid but when she feels safe she likes to be petted and purr softly. She loves Otto and draws comfort from his presence. Although they are not related, he is like a big, caring brother to her.Otto and Catarina are often together in a cubby or cat bed, cuddling. They are sweet young cats who had a scary time on the streets before being rescued. They are looking for a quiet home with a family who knows how to encourage kittens who want to feel safe and loved. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter. Story
Brittany is a 2-year-old beautiful long-haired, green-eyed tabby girl. She is friendly and social, likes company and being around people. She enjoys to watch birds out the window and to bask in the sun. Brittany loves it when one has a conversation with her, tilting her head and listening. She likes petting in short doses, as she is still a little shy and needs time to develop trust with a person. She can become irritable if one doesn't pay attention to her signals. Brittany is not fond of other pets and would love a quiet home where she is the only pet. She will be a wonderful companion to a person who knows how to speak to a kitty who might have had scary experiences, a person who can give her time to open her heart and trust. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter. Story
Meet Monty and his sister Feebie. These beautiful bonded siblings were surrendered to us after their owner passed away. Their mother was a street cat in a neighboring town, who looked just like Monty. We will only adopt them out as a pair. Monty is a 6-year-old easy going fellow and has the most luxurious, silky coat of black fur that compliments his stunning light green eyes. He is so handsome, and he knows it. He loves to be brushed and will reward you with blissful purrs. He is a love bug who likes to be petted and be near people. He enjoys batting around wand toys, sitting high on top of a cat tower, or snoozing on a couch. Feebie is a 7-year-old calm, regal and independent lady with striking eyes. She is a grey and white tigress, a gentle beauty and a very cautious kitty. She likes to watch things from high above, keeping her distance until she feels sure that all is secure. Until then she might give a hiss or two. When she starts to know a person, she shows it by slow blinking. Eventually her curiosity takes over and she will move closer. When she feels safe, she is an active, curious and cheerful cat who likes to explore her surroundings and play with wand toys. Bonding with Feebie is special because it takes patience and understanding to earn her trust. Every step towards winning her over feels precious. With Monty by her side, she finds the confidence to bond with humans again after her beloved person passed away. She has made great strides at the Shelter to come out of her shell and will now walk up to new visitors who are calm and in possession of a bag of treats! Monty and Feebie are looking for a quiet home with a patient, cat-savvy person who will welcome them both, and who can give them a safe haven with a reliable routine. They will both be loving and loyal companions. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter.
