Story
Boots was originally adopted in 2012 as a kitten, along with his sister Gracie. He has had a wonderful life with his humans until one day mom human passed away. This was very sad for Boots but he had his Dad human.... until this year when Dad had to go to a care facility and there was no way to take Boots or Gracie. We took both Boots and Gracie and have tried to give them the love and care they deserve at our foster facility. It is not ideal as they really would prefer the constant company of humans. They can be separated. They do not appear to be bonded. Boots is confused and sad but is making progress in being more comfortable with new human friends. We understand that not everyone can manage the care of a senior when it could involve medical issues and vet bills. He has had a senior physical and is in excellent health. We are willing to sponsor their medical/vet costs. If you would like to meet Boots, please email us at info@feralfriends.org. We are looking for either a foster home or a forever home. If you would like to adopt, please submit an adoption application through our website: www.feralfriends.org

Story
Antonio is an adorable DLH black male born approximately 4/19/2024. He has the prettiest light green eyes! Meet Antonio (aka Tony) Tony is a delightful little Italian kitten with a heart full of love and a flair for poetry. This sweet and calm furball might prefer lounging in your lap and purring contentedly over playing rough with the crew, but don't let his relaxed demeanor fool you—he’s got a playful side too! He loves chasing balls, but his true joy comes from being adored by his people. With his soft, shiny, long fur and striking good looks, Tony certainly knows how to turn heads. He's always happy to pose and let you admire his beauty—and don't forget to feel how incredibly soft he is! When he's not basking in affection, Tony spends his spare time writing poetry, pondering the finer things in life, and waiting for the purr-fect person to share his warmth and creativity with. Tony is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.November 12, 2024, 2:42 pm

Story
Purry Mason is a curious little kitten with the cutest, most inquisitive face and a zest for playtime and exploration. This fluffy boy started his life out on the mean streets and was found and brought inside by his foster family as a teeny two week old baby. They quickly discovered how much Purry loves to eat, and with lots of TLC, he graduated from bottle feeding to eating kitten food on his own and he hasn't stopped thriving since!Purry's hobbies include climbing, romping, jumping, chasing toys, meeting new friends, and being professionally adorable. While he's not on track to pass the bar exam like his namesake, this kitten is one smart cookie and we think he could win over the toughest judges around. Purry Mason will be happiest in a home with another cat friend to play with, whether that's another kitten pal or a resident cat who can show him the ropes!  We don't DNA test our kittens. Most cats and kittens in the US are a mix of breeds and we suspect the same is true for Purry Mason. He looks like he might be Maine coon mix (or other longhair mix). Either way, we know he's 100% cute!  Purry is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, he is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $125.    RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit.  If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.  Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Story
Meet Coconut, the cutest, fluffiest little kitten around! This girl is one sweet tabby baby who loves to play and explore her environment and hasn't met a friend she doesn't like- cat, dog, or human! Coconut was found alone and scared at a park and was brought into an area shelter while some of our volunteers were there looking at kittens to tag. When they saw her tiny face and heard her little meows, they knew they needed to get her into the rescue and help her find the best forever home.Coconut would love to have a cat sibling to romp and play with, whether that's another kitten in our rescue or a resident cat in her forever home. She's a brave baby girl who we think would be happy to have kids to play with too! We don't DNA test our kittens.
