Story
Olive is a very vocal cat that loves to play. Is she under 2 years old and would do well in a home with older kids (young children seem to get under her skin). She can tolerate dogs, but does sometimes get annoyed with them if they’re in her space. Her favorites are string toys, any kind of food, and being near you. Once she’s comfortable with you she’ll welcome some scratches behind the ears and chin which shows off her loud purr. Olive is feline leukemia positive, but has received a very clean bill of health from the vet.

Story
Misty is a young, playful, sweetheart. She is a little shy and not very vocal. She loves to quietly hang out with you while you work. She is 2 years old but is a small cat and still has a kitten-like personality. Her coat is medium/long and so incredibly soft! We are not sure that she really knows her name as she is often called "Itty-Bitty", "Fluffernutter", "Little Bit", etc. So you'll be free to rename her without risking confusion. She has been raised in a house with older cats, dogs, and children. She gets along with our dogs really well so she would do very well in a house with non-aggressive dogs. She does not have any behavioral issues. The reason we rehoming her is because we have had significant changes in circumstances, (job loss, reduced income, and potentially an upcoming move). Our other cats are quite old and not what we would consider highly adoptable. We believe that she will have the easiest adjustment to a new home. She is free to a good home!

Story
Cookie is a friendly female cat, approximately one year old, who showed up at my parents front door looking for food. After failing to find her owners, we brought her inside to keep her warm and clean. Cookie is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and has been treated with preventive flea and tick medication. She is sweet, loving, independent, and gets along well with my parents older cat. While she is quiet and enjoys cuddling, her youthful energy may be challenging for my parents, who already have an older cat. She loves to follow you around. She is gentle with people, has a soft nibble, and enjoys going outside with you, but she doesn't wander far, so she is more of an indoor cat. I would love to adopt Cookie myself, but I already have two rescue cats and live in a small apartment. We hope to find a loving home for her, and I will provide all her veterinary records. Anyone who welcomes her will be lucky to have such a wonderful cat in their life.

Story
We found Willow in the wild and brought her home as a kitten. I used to live with my family where she had lots of room and people to keep her busy, but I have recently moved out on my own to an apartment. I can't afford to keep her anymore and I work all day everyday so I can't give her the care an attention she needs anymore. She is shy, but when you get to know her she is sweet and very cuddly!

Story
Affectionate, goofy, and totally gorgeous! Meet Vampire Slayer! This fabulously fluffy girl is ready to "slay" your heart, and is guaranteed to charm anyone she meets! Vampire Slayer, known as Buffy in her foster home, is half kitten, half bunny, and 100% perfect. While her care may look a little different from other kitties, she loves to snuggle and play just like any other kitten! Vampire Slayer has Manx Syndrome, and as is common with Manx cats, her spine is shortened and didn't develop normally. As a result, she doesn't have a tail and her back legs are wonky - which is why she looks a bit like a bunny as she hops around! She is also incontinent, and needs manual expressions about three times a day to help her go potty. It's pretty straightforward, and doesn't take much time to care for her! Once you get the hang of it, it could take no more than 15 minutes a day; APA! will show you how to manually express Vampire Slayer and make sure you are comfortable with it. Vampire Slayer is a goofy and energetic kitten, and hops around the house at lighting speed, "slaying" every toy in her path! She loves to play with the other kitties in her foster home, and she would love to find a forever home where she can have kitty playmates! She has never met a dog, but would likely do just fine with a slow introduction. While Vampire Slayer may need a little extra care, including manual expressions, a daily medication, and the occasional booty bath, she will repay her humans in endless purrs, snuggles, and hilarious kitten antics! Her foster parents would love to tell you more about this very special kitten and answer any questions you have about her needs - contact us today to arrange a meet-and-greet! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Vampire Slayer, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.
