Story
Floofy, friendly, fun Laszlo is drop-dead gorgeous! He wears a long, soft tuxedo and sports a little soul patch under his chin. When you see this magnificent floof you will just want to scoop him up and snuggle him, and he'll be happy to have you do that! He's especially fond of cheek and chin scratches. Laszlo loves to spend his days gazing out the window, rolling around in catnip, playing with balls, and goofing around with his bestie Racecar. Laszlo gets along with cats in general, but he grew up with Racecar and would really love to bring Racecar along to his forever home. Laszlo suffered some injuries as a kitten which left him incontinent. He requires some extra medical care, which may include a regulated diet and/or manual expression. Caring for an incontinent cat is easier than you may think. Want proof? Check out this video: bit.ly/CatExpressionDemo Please reach out if you have any questions. We are happy to talk about Laszlo and how to care for incontinent cats! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Laszlo, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.

Story
Goose is incredibly special. I LOVE this boy!!  Goose was found in a dumpster in San Marcos, TX (along with his siblings). They were taken to the local shelter. Covid was in place so the shelter closed their doors. Only rescues were allowed in. This is how I got Goose and his siblings. All have long since been adopted out. Goose was the BEST cat to have around because he grew up loving kittens! He was so good at calming them down, grooming them, etc. When Goose was about a year, he got a bad URI from another foster kitty. He was treated but had a harder time recovering. He stayed here longer (he was my kitten tamer) and that is when I noticed other issues happening. Long story short, Goose most likely has IBD (no biopsy has been done - per vets suggestion). I can go into great length about this to anyone interested. Right now, I am going to do my best to find him the ABSOLUTE best home. He deserves it. Ideally, Goose would go to another home that already has an IBD kitty. He needs a novel protein diet. He is currently on wet and dry food, probiotics mixed in. Experienced adopter would be ideal. Someone who understands this condition and knows how to manage it. Goose currently gets steroid injections (by me), goes to the vet every 6 months and is doing well. Because I do have other cats in the house with special diets, it has been a challenge keeping Goose on track, which is VERY important with IBD. Goose needs to have another kitty friend. He loves grooming and being groomed.  I know finding him the perfect home will be difficult but willing to wait it out :-) I love this boy so much but want him to find a home where his condition can be managed and he can live a long healthy life! He deserves it!!! For more info. on Goose, please contact Stephanie directly. 512-694-6209 or stefpq@yahoo.comWould love to have a somewhat local adopter so I can be close should something arise. I have so many photos and videos of Goose I am more than happy to share, just can't put them all online here. He really is the most handsome fellow! ##1968417##

Story
Memo was found near a busy access road in Austin, TX. When we parked, she came right up to us from her abandoned canned of sardines and took in as many pets and love as she could get from us. We knew she would make the sweetest, smartest kitten companion. She’s extremely patient and tolerant and loves to cuddle. We were able to bathe her and get her in for a full exam and start on vaccines with no issues. Adoption fee is to assist with spay and vaccination costs.

Story
Eleanor was taken in from a family friend after learning of the neglect Eleanor was put through. Eleanor is a fluffy, cuddly, loving, cuddly sweetheart who loves nothing more than food and love. Eleanor needs a new home because I am not in a place where I can home a cat, especially for financial reasons. Eleanor is young, maybe about 2-3, fixed, and litter boxes trained. I would love nothing more than to see Eleanor go to a loving home that she deserves.

Story
Cookie is a female cat, who showed up at my parent's front door looking for food. We saw that she was very kind and affectionate so we brought her in to find her a home. She would be a good inside or outside cat. She loves to explore and play and is good at catching mice around the home and would be adaptive to living in a pen, barn, or pet house outside. Temperament: While staying with my parents, she can be temperamental with other cats, but she gets along well with dogs. She is good when visiting the veterinarian's office. Additionally, she is great with people and children, and she is easy to hold in your arms. She is currently staying at my parent's home until she is adopted. Cookie is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and has been treated with preventive flea and tick medication. We hope to find a loving person or family for her, and I will provide all her veterinary records. Anyone who welcomes her will be lucky to have such a wonderful cat in their life.

Story
Gina   D  is the picture of serene fluff!  She is a long-haired tortoiseshell beauty with a soft and sweet meow.   This 11 yr old girl is a calm companion, chill and comfortable with her humans and other quiet animals.  She prefers to lounge around and watch the action rather than create it!    Gina   D  is approachable, quite chatty and affectionate, but she prefers having 4 feet on the ground to being carried around. Her energy level is more sedate, and she does best with adults and older children who respect her quiet nature and personal space.  She would most likely enjoy being an only kitty, but she can accept other calm animals who give her space.        Gina   D  loves a big fluffy bed!   She is quite fluffy herself and enjoys being brushed and gentle pets.   Gina   D  loves her food and is motivated by treats!  A tidy girl, she has good litter box habits too.   If you are looking for a sweet and gentle companion with bonus fluff, then please consider  Gina   D ! Story
Meet Beth! This fella was named before we knew he was a boy and well, the name Beth just stuck. He is ready to find his forever home :) Beth and his brother, Bandit, are tuxedo kitties that were rescued with their long-haired Himalayan mama. Beth loves his brother and likes to explore once he feels comfortable in the home. You can often find Beth hanging out with Bandit and playing with cat toys. Like his brother, he lovesssss canned cat food! Beth and Bandit are a bonded pair and have requested to be adopted together. While they can be shy initially, we know that with patience, love and lots of cat treats they will become the best companions you could ask for! If you have any questions, reach out to Beth's foster mom, Melodie (melodieobryan3@gmail.com) or fill out an application online! ##2159396##

Pinecone is a very affectionate, friendly kitty who loves meeting new people and getting loved on. She loves to show off her beautiful coat by rolling around on the floor in front of you until you pet her. She has a laid back personality but always enjoys a good catnip toy and scaling the cat tree. Pinecone does great with other cats and is even relaxed around the resident dogs. She's never met a stranger and likes to explore new rooms in her foster home. If you have any questions, reach out to Pinecone's foster mom, Jesse (jesseblack713@gmail.com) or fill out an application online! ##2258169##
