Story
Angela is a beautiful long-haired gray tabby and white female about 6 months old (DOB about 6/1/24).  She was one of many cats and kittens trapped at an abandoned house. She's more than happy to sit in your arms on your lap, but she's not assertive and won't make the first move. She lives in a foster home with her siblings and a small dog, and we think she will be good with older kids.  She is ready for her own new, permanent home.  She loves to play with toys or other cats and is never bored.  She's negative for feline leukemia and aids, has had her first distemper and rabies vaccines, been wormed, vet checked, and spayed.  The second (final) FVRCP booster is included in the adoption fee.  Preference will be given to adopters who have a young playmate/companion for the kitten.  We typically do not adopt kittens to homes where they will be a solo pet.   If interested in this cutie pie, please contact Holly at 865-671-4564 or hhfrey1@tds.net.   We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. The majority of our cats and kittens come from high kill shelters. Through our application and interview process, we strive to make the 'purrfect' match to insure a loving, lifelong home for those in our care. We do NOT receive funding from any national organization, federal or state governments.November 28, 2024, 2:57 pm

Good with cats,
Story
I was born where my foster mom works with my two brothers. Our mom brought us out when she felt we would be safe. Someone she works with took my brothers to keep and that left me and my Mom alone . Foster Mom stepped in and took us home with her. I am a little shy but like other cats. I havent been around dogs, but I hear them barking outside our house.

Story
Alexa made her entrance into FFF with a badly broken leg. We weren't sure when or how it happened, but we knew she was too small to go through an operation. She settled into foster care to rest up, gain weight, and charm everyone that met her! As she grew, her foster momma saw that Alexa was actually using her leg, and she suspected that an amputation may not be necessary. A vet visit confirmed that the bones in her leg had started to grow together, and although she'll always have one leg shorter than the other, it does NOTHING to stop her! When she's awake, you'll only see Alexa as a streak of black fur racing from one adventure to another. She loves exploring new things and being in the middle of everything... especially when it's time to eat! Once she tires out, she's a total love bug and will snuggle up with whatever creature is nearest to her. While she loves other cats, she also really loves dogs and would be totally fine with a cat-savvy dog. Kids are ok too!
