Story
Callie is our beautiful and elegant girl, who is about 5 years old. She is a domestic long hair cat with the most beautiful color patterns. Her eye color against her coat patterns gives her such a unique look, not to mention, she's super fluffy!! Pictures just don't do her justice! Callie was surrendered to us in early May in hopes she would have a new life where she would be loved and get all the attention she deserves! She is a very shy girl. It takes her a little time to warm up to new faces. She is still adjusting to being held by people, but she definitely loves attention and can be a little weird attempting to accept it from certain people. She will accept pets/scratches and purr for a couple seconds, then run off as if you're playing a game of tag. She enjoys her little mouse toys and playing when no one seems to be watching. She seems curious about other cats. When you let her roam the cat room, she will gracefully walk in front of other kennels, sniffing and looking in curiously. She has lived with a dog previously, but we are not sure how she would be with them. We will have her dog tested in the near future. Callie is looking for a loving home willing to give her all the time and attention she wants but also respect her space when she wants to be alone. Meet Callie today with a pre-approved application!

Story
Meet Blackberry! Blackberry was brought with a few friends after being found in an abandoned house in late March. If you are looking for a girl who is both sweet and sassy, Blackberry could be for you. She can be cuddly at times and want to be alone at other times. She can quickly snap from the sweet to the sassy, so watch out! She is super playful and isn't quite sure when playtime is over sometimes. She likes to stick her paws through her kennel and bat at people passing by and also at your head (if you're giving the cat under her attention) Blackberry fits the words "cat-itude" and "spicy" to a T. At just a little over 2 years old, this silly girl has a signature head tilt when you're doing something she's unsure of. She loves attention and will push her body under your hands for pets/scratches. When she is "over it," she'll quickly jump away to the back of the kennel or bat you away. She has no problem showing just how assertive she can be. She is just a big ball of fluff, cute and attitude all rolled into one. She will give a slight warning before turning to her "Mr. Hyde" personality. She is the best example of dual personalities of animal nature in cats. Most of the time, Blackberry displays the cute innocent baby girl just begging for attention. She can be cat-selective at times and will be dog-tested soon! If you're ready to experience an entertaining and delightful cat, Blackberry could be the perfect fit for you! Come meet her with an approved application!

Story
Fetty was a barn cat, living most of her first years outside. She had an eye injury early on which affects her vision in one eye. She chitters and mews for her dinner, and will rub up against you. She doesn’t like to be picked up or petted. She’s fearless and beautiful.

Story
Meet Bartholamew Meet Bartholamew, a courageous and intelligent feline who has seen the rougher side of life. At one time Bartholamew lived in a home with his person. When the man passed away family members threw Bart out to fend for himself. He not only had to try to find basic needs like food and water, but he also fought with other males who were not fixed. His past as a cat on the streets taught him resilience and bravery, making him a survivor. Despite his tough, muscular exterior, Bartholamew has a heart as soft as a teddy bear. There is nothing he likes more than some ear and neck scratches. His purrs let you know of his contentment. Upon being rescued, Bart’s long hair had to be shaved due to matting and prickly burrs through his coat. It won’t be long until he has his majestic locks back. Bart does swat at times—sometimes to let you know he wants more attention, sometimes to let you know he doesn’t like what you’re doing. Bart is healthy; however, he is positive for FIV, feline immunodeficiency virus. FIV isn’t something to be afraid of and can only be transmitted to cats through deep bite wounds. We encourage adopters to do research and/or speak with their veterinarian about FIV prior to applying for adoption. An attentive adopter will ensure he gets vet care as needed so he can live a good, long life. Bartholamew's smart, quick-witted nature makes him a delightful companion. His bravery and strength, coupled with his big, teddy bear heart, make him the perfect cat for the right home. What is the right home for Bart? Well, Bartholamew needs an home with no young children. Would possibly do well with teens and up if they are respectful of Bart’s needs. Bart does well with female cats and possibly more submissive males but with cats who are dominant he does tend to “square up” ready for a fight- because that is what he has known being left with no choice in the past. We do not know what his history is with dogs. Adopt Bartholamew and let his courage inspire you, his intelligence amuse you, and his loving nature warm your heart.
