Story
LILY is the sweetest cat. She would make the perfect emotional support animal. She is gentle and quiet, she loves to be petted. She is happy to live in small spaces, like a dorm room or studio apartment. She doesn’t have any teeth, so she can only eat wet food. She is very afraid of other cats and dogs, and she is allergic to fleas. She was spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped in October 2023, and she is located in Mechanicsburg PA.

Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue AFFECTIONATE AND GOOFY Meow! My name is Theodora! My estimated date of birth is 10/6/2022. I was once a friendly stray, but thanks to the amazing folks at Forever Love Rescue, I’m now living the indoor life I’ve always dreamed of. I’m so grateful!! I’m a super affectionate kitty who’s likely to become your favorite lap cat once I settle in. I love jumping on my human’s lap for pets and will even give headbutts once I trust you. I might need a little time to adjust, but trust me, the wait will be worth it! I have a playful and goofy personality that will keep you entertained. My absolute favorite activities include chasing after my laser pointer, pouncing on tossed toys, and having a blast with my feather-on-a-stick toy. Oh, and did I mention how silly I can be? I make the cutest, quirkiest noises when I’m happy or playing, and I’m known for my impressive “parkour” skills! I absolutely adore other cats and warm up to new people quickly, so you won’t have to wait long to see my charming side. With my gorgeous long hair, I love a good brushing session, and I promise I’ll be a photogenic star (if only I could hold still for more than a moment!). I’m currently in a foster home, just waiting for someone to take me home and shower me with love. Let’s make some wonderful memories together!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many  that are not posted yet.  Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.  No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so).  We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.   We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.  Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info. Story
This pretty, floofy girl came to AHS in August 2024 after she was found as a stray. Queena is an easygoing girl and would love to find a home to call her own to spend her golden years in! Queena has not always been the most comfortable in the shelter environment but has been very sweet regardless. She loves finding a comfy spot to curl up in and will knead away at her blankies until she is as comfortable as can be. If you are looking for a rather lazy girl than Queena is certainly the kitty for you! She enjoys spending most of her day curled up and snoozing! She is a very gentle cat who enjoys getting head rubs and scratches! She will need a dedicated owner who is willing to spend some extra time brushing all that fluffy fur to make sure she stays looking pristine and pretty! We have not seen Queena around any of the cats in our care but would be willing to try her in a home with other cats! Queena is happy to be friends with people of all ages and would not mind being in a home with children that understand she enjoys her nap time! Queena is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Story
Approx DOB: May 2024 Mary is a wonderfully sweet and playful kitten beginning her search for her perfect family. She is a bit timid around new people, but if you give her a little bit of time and patience, she will blossom into such a great kitten and become quite affectionate. Mary hails from a very large colony of cats and kittens and does well with the other kittens and cats in her foster home. She does have some close friends in her foster home; however, her best bud seems to be Peter. They get along very well and play most of the time together, she will need to be adopted with him. Her fur had to be shaved some to remove the mats and burrs she had from her days of outside living, but once it is all grown back, she is going to be even more beautiful. She loves all the good things in life, lasers, chirping bird toys, and playing tag with her friends. She may do best in a home without small children as they seem to make her nervous. Please note: Cats and kittens are social creatures and greatly benefit from being with other pets; therefore, kittens under the age of 6 months cannot be adopted as single pets. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations. If you are interested in adopting a kitty(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). Story
Approx DOB: July 2024 When Peter first came into his foster home, his beautiful fur was all matted and flea bitten, but now, he is turning into the most gorgeous kitten, with such a sweet and loving personality to match. He loves his friends, his wet food snacks, belly rubs and the laser most. Peter came in with several kittens from his colony, but seems to spend the most time with his buddy Mary, and would love to be adopted with her. Peter is a bit timid of strangers at first, but warms up easily when given the chance. Please note: Cats and kittens are social creatures and greatly benefit from being with other pets; therefore, kittens under the age of 6 months cannot be adopted as single pets. Story
Approx DOB: 2018 Druscilla, or Dru for short, is hoping to find a low-key, quiet home that will give her the time and patience she needs to adjust. Dru initially came to her foster home with a lot of weariness towards people. She had no interest in letting anyone get close. Although Dru is still a bit nervous, she has made much progress. She able to relax and has even started playing. Dru grumbles a bit with petting but has made a lot of progress with that too. We’ve found that the key to her heart is canned cat food! If you are interested in adopting Dru and have a home without dogs, other cats, or kids, please complete an application! All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Story
Auggie is very sweet and lovable. He is about two years old, and white and black, long hair, very full coat. My daughter took him in to help an elderly man who could no longer take care of Auggie, and we found that he does not get along very well with dogs (we have 3). Away from the dogs he is kind, and wants a lot of attention we cannot give him. He knows how to use his box. He has been declawed by his previous owner. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
