They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Well...behold Loofah! She's an absolutely stunning mama cat with so much variety and color in her fur. Though gorgeous, Loofah's life started out rough. She was a feral street cat living in an abandoned car when she gave birth to four kittens. Loofah did an amazing job taking care of and feeding her kittens until about a year ago when she and her litter were rescued from the streets and put into foster care. Her and her kittens were housed in a bathroom and all her kittens loved snuggling up to her for warmth. Loofah is looking for a forever home with patient adopters. She is going to take a little bit of time to warm up. When she was rescued she was feral and impossible to touch. After a year in foster care however, she is finally starting to come out of her shell. She LOVES being pet now. If she sees you coming she will put her butt in the air hoping for pets. While you brush and scratch her she will rub her head and face all over you while purring up a storm. She does not like being picked up yet and isn't super playful, but we're confident with the right amount of patience and love, those things are in her future. Loofah's favorite pastime is to sit and look out an open window. She feels safest when there's a safe place to hide too in case she gets a little spooked. Loofah loves Churu and treats and will lick them right off your fingers! As of right now, she still has a little bit of spice in her so she's probably best in a home without small kids. She is curious about and likes other cats. She gets along with the other cats in the house but her foster family suspects she'd probably be best with maybe only one other chill cat or by herself. Loofah is around 2.5 years old. She has been spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and recently had a dental. Meet Mr. Ash! This guy came to TCR when one of TCR's fosters saved him and his 3 siblings from deplorable living conditions. The morning our foster was going to pick them up, their mom was let outside and unfortunately was hit by a car. Mr. Ash and his siblings were barely old enough to eat on their own, thin, sick, and covered in fleas. With some TLC, we were able to nurse them back to health. Eventually, Mr. Ash's little gang joined momma Angela and her 5 babies and they grew into one large, chaotic, happy family! Mr. Ash has a gorgeous coat that appears black but has a smokiness underneath, with long ear tuffs and a fluffy tail. He is very sweet but can be very shy at first. Mr. Ash may take some time to warm up to new people but once he does, he loves getting pets and will give some soft purrs! He enjoys long naps in the cat tree but can definitely party with the best of em once he's up and at 'em. He loves loves loves: -cardboard boxes -bird watching from the window sill -any toy or anything the resembles a toy -chaos and wreaking havoc while wrestling with his siblings -soft pets and ear scratches This handsome guy would do great in a variety of homes. He absolutely needs a young, active, and playful cat buddy (perhaps when one of his many siblings!) Mr. Ash would do well with children, but may be a little more shy at first so he'll likely need the proper intros and the normal adjustment when going to a new home. He has not met dogs yet, but we do believe that with proper and slow introductions he would get along with a dog friend. Mr. Ash is about 4 months old, neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FELV tested negative, microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated. If this little guy sounds like a match for you, apply for him today!

Buffy was abandoned in an apartment and brought to us by the landlord. We do not have any background information. She is a very beautiful cat with a persnickety attitude. Sometimes she likes attention, sometimes she likes to be left alone.

I am the bolder of the two.  I love attention and laying on the desk next to my foster mom when she is working. I make "air biscuits" when being pet.  I'm a big guy and tend to take up a lot of room, but she doesn't mind.  I love to play and am beginning to become more comfortable exploring my foster home. We have been around small calm dogs before and didn't mind them.  I don't love being picked up very much so most likely would not do well in a home with small children.  Mowgli and I are ready to find a new permanent home full of love. ##2058897##
