Story
EXPERIENCED ADOPTERS ONLYHi, I`m Bindi! I`m a 3 year old girl who was brought in through no fault of my own. I`ve had some trouble adjusting here at the shelter, but staff say they know there`s a sweet girl under this tough exterior. I would do best in a home without children due to my temperamental personality. I`m front declawed, so the only way I have to defend myself is to bite. I would love to co-exist with a nice family in a real home of my own! I would be a very pretty piece of artwork for you to look at roaming around your home. I definitely need attention on my terms. I come to the people for a couple pets and I am set for the rest of the day. I can not live in a home with dogs or other cats. My ideal home would be a calmer, quiet home where I can take the time I need to adjust and acclimate with a patient family who can help me through. I prefer to do things on my own terms, so my future family will need to be understanding of that. Once I have adjusted to a new human, I love to be scratched under the chin and to play toys. I will need visits scheduled and with serious adopters only. If you think you could be the home to allow me to grow and adjust, please ask staff about me and submit an application for me today!

Story
Hi there peasants! My name is Coraline and I am the prettiest princess of them all! Staff have me around 5 years old. I am definitely a princess and must be treated as such, so everything is on my terms! I have the most gorgeous coat that I tend to all day long like Rapunzel`s hair. I will make little chirps for attention sometimes if you get lucky enough! Staff was told I lived with dogs in my previous home but I have not been tested with dogs here at the shelter. I could possibly live with a laid back cat who will respect my space and play boundaries(a kitten who wants to play all the time or a cat who will try to play with me will NOT work for me). Older kids can only exist in my forever home. Complete an application to meet the prettiest lady of them all!

Story
Callie is our beautiful and elegant girl, who is about 5 years old. She is a domestic long hair cat with the most beautiful color patterns. Her eye color against her coat patterns gives her such a unique look, not to mention, she's super fluffy!! Pictures just don't do her justice! Callie was surrendered to us in early May in hopes she would have a new life where she would be loved and get all the attention she deserves! She is a very shy girl. It takes her a little time to warm up to new faces. She is still adjusting to being held by people, but she definitely loves attention and can be a little weird attempting to accept it from certain people. She will accept pets/scratches and purr for a couple seconds, then run off as if you're playing a game of tag. She enjoys her little mouse toys and playing when no one seems to be watching. She seems curious about other cats. When you let her roam the cat room, she will gracefully walk in front of other kennels, sniffing and looking in curiously. She has lived with a dog previously, but we are not sure how she would be with them. We will have her dog tested in the near future. Callie is looking for a loving home willing to give her all the time and attention she wants but also respect her space when she wants to be alone. Meet Callie today with a pre-approved application!

Story
Meet Blackberry! Blackberry was brought with a few friends after being found in an abandoned house in late March. If you are looking for a girl who is both sweet and sassy, Blackberry could be for you. She can be cuddly at times and want to be alone at other times. She can quickly snap from the sweet to the sassy, so watch out! She is super playful and isn't quite sure when playtime is over sometimes. She likes to stick her paws through her kennel and bat at people passing by and also at your head (if you're giving the cat under her attention) Blackberry fits the words "cat-itude" and "spicy" to a T. At just a little over 2 years old, this silly girl has a signature head tilt when you're doing something she's unsure of. She loves attention and will push her body under your hands for pets/scratches. When she is "over it," she'll quickly jump away to the back of the kennel or bat you away. She has no problem showing just how assertive she can be. She is just a big ball of fluff, cute and attitude all rolled into one. She will give a slight warning before turning to her "Mr. Hyde" personality. She is the best example of dual personalities of animal nature in cats. Most of the time, Blackberry displays the cute innocent baby girl just begging for attention. She can be cat-selective at times and will be dog-tested soon! If you're ready to experience an entertaining and delightful cat, Blackberry could be the perfect fit for you! Come meet her with an approved application!

Story
Meet Peaches! Believe it or not, this long-haired beauty was brought to ICHS as a stray. Peaches was not a big fan of the shelter life when she first came in, but who can blame her? Going from having all of the outdoors to being in a cage is a huge change! However, Peaches has gotten a lot better at adjusting to change as she has experienced a lot since coming into the shelter. After she finally got more adjusted to being here at ICHS, our shelter staff noticed some things were off with Peaches. She was excessively eating and drinking and was urinating more than normal. After being taken to the vet, it was discovered that Peaches is diabetic and her blood glucose level was high. Peaches immediately started receiving insulin injections and switched to diabetic-friendly cat food (we are using Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Diabetic Management). Since starting this journey, Peaches' blood glucose level has dropped significantly and continues to get better! Because of her condition, Peaches will need to go to a home with someone who will be able to fully manage and keep up with her disease. This will include giving her, her insulin shot every 12 hours, taking her for frequent vet visits, providing her with diabetic management food, etc. So, we would prefer an adopter who has experience with diabetic cats or other diseases that require similar maintenance for Peaches. All of this care is worth it with a cat like Peaches! Since Peaches has been starting to feel better, we have really gotten to see her true personality. Peaches is a lot more cuddly than we ever knew! She loves receiving ALL the pets, being held, and even cuddling up for a nap with our shelter staff. She sure would love to snuggle up in your bed with you! No matter where you go or what you're doing, Peaches is sure to be laying nearby keeping you company. When she isn't being a love bug, Peaches enjoys exploring and gazing out the window. She seems to think that the cars driving past is actually a game for her. Overall, Peaches is a joy to be around. She is filled with personality and is a very loyal friend who loves to snuggle. While Peaches knows that her condition makes it harder to get adopted, she never loses hope that she will find her very own fur-ever family. If you know that you would be able to manage Peaches' diabetes and are ready to make a new best friend, consider putting in an adoption application for Peaches today! Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Age: 3yrs 11mths 3wks
