Story
Hi, my name is Kitty! I’m available for adoption! Please read the questions and answers below to learn more about me. If I sound like a good fit, come out to Greenhill Humane Society to meet me! Do you like other cats? Not much is known about my past history with cats. I may do well with another cat after a slow introduction. What do you think about living with a dog? I have had a negative experience with a dog. I would like to live in a home without dogs. How do you feel about kids? My history with children is unknown, but my friends in the Cattery think I would do best in a home with teens or adults only. What was your previous home like? I was originally found a stray but in my last home I was indoors only as an only pet. What’s your ideal home like? A patient and calm loving home where I can have time to adjust and love and affection when I desire. Is there anything else we should know about you? Ask Cattery Staff about my Medical Release.

Story
Hi I`m Patrick and I am available for adoption with my littermate Patricia. We are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Come out to Greenhill Humane Society to meet us if we seem like we may be a good match! Do you like other cats? We should do well with another cat after a slow introduction period! What do you think about living with a dog? We would probably be able to adjust to living with a cat savvy dog after a slow introduction period. How do you feel about kids? We are very shy; kids can be a bit scary to us (loud noises/fast movements are very scary to us)! I need to go to an adult only home. What`s your ideal home like? We are looking for someone that has experience with shy/undersocialized cats and that will be understanding that we are shy and will need more time than a typical kitten to adjust to our new home! A calm quiet household would be best for us with no children. Is there anything else we should know about you? We are very cute! I must be adopted with my littermate Patricia. I would do best in a home with active/healthy adults who will be able to get down on the floor with me multiple times a day.

Story
Elegant, cuddly, sweet gentleman kitty SYLVESTER is all you need in a lap cat. He loves to play with his catnip stuffie and bat his rolly-ball around, but his most favorite thing is to snuggle up with his favorite person and sleep on their hip or belly each night. This gorgeous, fluffy, black-and-white stunner is a gentle, quiet soul who prefers a peaceful home and a set routine where he can relax and mellow out with his human friends.  Sylvester came into our rescue when the last member of his original adopting family died; he had lived with them more than 11 years. He prefers to be an only cat, but can be okay with other cats who will let him be the boss. He does not like dogs, and has not been around young children. SYLVESTER has some medical struggles which will require prescription food, daily medication (which he takes easily), on-going monitoring, and follow-up veterinary care. Our veterinary team has determined that he has a mild heart murmur and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) which will need on-going management. With proper diet, attention and medication, this lovely special-needs kitty will return your care and devotion many times over. SYLVESTER has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Sylvester in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID# 2303-C0075 DOB:  11/13/2011 PREFERS TO BE THE ONLY CAT (SEE TEXT) DOES NOT LIKE DOGS UNKNOWN ABOUT CHILDRENNovember 5, 2024, 2:34 pm

Story
MISS CINNAMON is a gorgeous, regal, fluffy black and gray tabby tuxedo, who will grace you with her affection after she has had time to adjust, while JACK is an outgoing black and white tuxedo, master-of-ceremonies adult kitty who loves attention. They are a funny bonded pair, with dissimilar personalities, who bring out the best in each other. Jack is outgoing and gregarious, is curious about his surroundings, and loves to watch "Kitty TV" out the window. Miss Cinnamon loves high places—the tops of your kitchen cabinets or bookshelves—and she likes to play hide and seek under the sofa. Miss Cinnamon will honor you with her affection once she feels comfortable with you. They both love to climb and explore (they will need a cat tree), and play with wand toys and the turboscratcher. They were adopted together as kittens, and returned when their owner could no longer care for them.  It took them several weeks to acclimate to their foster home, and they are still afraid of loud noises and people who move fast (like young kids).  Whoever adopts these two needs to have the patience and forethought to work with them steadily, gently, and consistently, to get them over that hump of getting used to a new home. Once they are settled, they are incredibly sweet together. They have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV and FIV, and include a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Jack and Miss Cinnamon in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet.   The adoption fee for the bonded pair is $170, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.  For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  Jack ID# 1905-C0275R; Miss Cinnamon ID# 1810-C0441R DOB:  Jack 4/3/19;  Miss Cinnamon 6/29/18 MISS CINNAMON AND JACK MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER UNKNOWN ABOUT OTHER CATS AFRAID OF DOGS BEST WITH QUIET OLDER KIDS OR ADULTSNovember 5, 2024, 2:34 pm

Story
SASHA is a fluffy, solid black female adult kitty with eyes that are sometimes golden or sometimes green, depending upon her mood. She is a special girl, very enchanting with a personality that is made up of both sugar and spice. She is known for both her independence and her charm. She will demand your attention, but you must know that she would be best suited in a home as an only cat, no small children, and with someone who is very familiar with cats and who knows how to read their behaviors. The Sugar/Charming Sasha: She can be a VERY affectionate cat that loves to lay in your lap while being petted. She will follow you around while rubbing against your legs asking you to pet her. She loves to climb up to higher spaces while watching you. Once you have earned her trust, she will give you head bumps and rubs as well as purring. She loves to play and chase toys that you toss to her. The Spicy/Sassy Sasha: During her adaptation to new places and people, she can display body language and behaviors that warrant allowing this girl her own space. Slow deliberate movements so that you don't startle her, are very helpful. If you are well-versed in cat language you will realize this and allow her the space she needs. It will take a while (probably a couple of months) for her to come out of her shell on her own terms. Sasha was a bottle baby who was about 3 months old when first adopted. She was returned after five years—we think that she did not like having small children around, nor did she like the other cat in the house. [When she was a kitten, she had no other cats to show her the ropes.] Sasha is a very special cat who will reward a patient adopter with incredible love and affection, once she has acclimated and bonded to her new human. SASHA has been spayed, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet SASHA in foster care, please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $100 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Story
SWEET PEA is a mature, regal, long-haired tortoiseshell gal looking for a kingdom to call her own.  She is incredibly well mannered and asks for attention and play time when she wants it.  Mostly, she enjoys sitting next to you and purring loudly, which will inevitably turn into her napping and gently snoring next to you.  She will entertain herself with toys and may have a slight catnip “problem” that her adopter will have to support.  She is fond of people, and respectful of children.  She is outgoing and vocal when she gets comfortable, especially if you are willing to share some rotisserie chicken with her.  She is outgoing and curious but can take a couple of weeks to get fully comfortable in the house, which is worth the wait. Sweet Pea is the perfect companion for someone looking for a confident, house-trained cat, who is mellow and wants to be near her people. SWEET PEA has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, is in excellent health (we ran a full senior blood panel, and all values were normal), and she includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Sweet Pea in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. Story
** SPECIAL NEEDS CAT ** Say hello to the magnificent NESSIE!  She is a beautiful female tortoise shell with long hair and a half orange, half black face.  She is petite in size as well.  Nessie absolutely loves neck scratches and will lay her head down on the ground sideways while you pet her.  She loves watching CAT TV (aka, looking out the window), and playing with string toys and springs. She is very curious about mirrors and her own reflection, and has chased her own tail a time or two.  She does take a little while to warm up and will need to be given some time to adjust to a new home--she comes out of her shell once she’s familiar with her surroundings. Nessie has tested positive for FIV (the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but she is a healthy kitty and will likely have a normal lifespan as an indoor-only cat. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. Nessie has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Nessie in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. Story
CEE CEE is a majestic long-haired brown tabby female adult kitty with a lion’s mane and curious, kind eyes.  She is very sweet, polite, playful, and gentle.  She entertains herself well, running through tunnels, chasing mice and jingly toys, and really enjoys the laser pointer!  She politely asks for attention when she wants it and has a uniquely soft, gentle meow.  She does take several weeks to warm up, but your patience will be rewarded with affection once she realizes she can trust you.  She likes to observe and get to know her surroundings.  She loves other cats, and their presence helps put her more at ease. Once she’s comfortable, she will wake up in the morning and come find you to ask for pets and tell you all about her night.  Cee Cee is well worth the investment of time to earn her trust, and once you have it, she will bring you great joy!
