Story
Cherney, which means the colour black in Russian, loves all toys. She plays nicely with her siblings and has a blast as she bounces around like a tumbleweed playing catch me if you can! With her fluffy, soft rabbit-like fur, she looks like a walking stuffed toy. Cherney is super cuddly and friendly and loves lounging on hammocks with her siblings. Very social and docile, she loves everyone she meets. A confident girl, she is very puppy-like and surrenders on her back when picked up for snuggles, purring loudly the entire time! She is good using the scratching posts provided and has clean litter box habits. Cherney gets along well with other cats and kids, but would love to be adopted with one of her “colour black” siblings. Kittens under the age of nine months MUST have another age-appropriate cat or dog in their home, or as otherwise noted. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO SUITABLE APPLICATIONS FOR SIBLINGS. As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first come, first served.

Story
Does something feel awry? It might be that you`re missing Arrax in your home!If you feel as if your home is missing a cute and playful cat, Arrax may be the one to save the day! Arrax is a curious boy that came to us from another shelter. Not much is known about his past, but he enjoys being around people.ABOUT ARRAX:-In foster-Adult, domestic longhair, male-Arrax is super energetic and loves to play with his foster parent!-Arrax can get a little carried away while playing and give gentle bites.Arrax has been dealing with on-and-off vomiting for a few months, and it is possible he may require lifelong medication to manage this. -Arrax is neutered, house-trained, not declawed, microchipped, and has received core vaccinations.ARRAX`S IDEAL HOME:-Arrax needs a family and home that can keep him mentally stimulated, as he has lots of energy!-Arrax must be the only cat in the house.-Arrax would do best in a home without small children.-EHS will offer a short foster-to-adopt period before finalizing the adoption to assist Arrax with successfully transitioning into a forever home. During this time our skilled volunteers will offer support to the potential adopters as they get to know Arrax and help ensure everyone settles in comfortably together.-Potential adopters should have a car and be able to easily access our vet in south Etobicoke while we ascertain the underlying cause of his vomiting. Is Arrax the cat you need? Apply today and let him blow you away! (Get it? He`s named after a dragon!)If you have any questions about Arrax or the adoption process, please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com

Story
Microchipped, DOB January 6, 2019 Chyna is a lovely cat who enjoys life by the window soaking up the sun. She also enjoys the cat tree, as well as a tent or cardboard house. She prefers to be a single cat in the house but over time has gotten used to the resident cat. They have a few spats and then she greets him from time to time and sits close. She enjoys running after lasers and her own shadow at night. She has furry paws so slips on wooden floors. She is rather loyal and will climb beside you and purr when she gets a belly rub. She especially longs to climb on top of your bed although she is not allowed to in her foster home. She follows you and is communicative when she needs you to know something is out of the ordinary. She takes prednisolone weekly. She does not need diet food but just limited amounts of food.

Story
Microchipped, DOB: July 31, 2021 Kasu is an absolute sweetheart. A floofy goofball, always ready for a bit of playtime or some pets. He is curious and active and loves exploring and playing new games. He'll even invent new ones to play with you too! He can make a game out of anything. Kasu loves to get lots of affection, but prefers to do it from the ground instead of by being held or curling up in your lap. Kasu is part of a bonded pair, so he comes with a built in bestie named Lucy. Lucy is definitely the dominant one in their relationship and sometimes Kasu can get a bit timid when Lucy gets a little annoyed with him but when he feels relaxed and safe, his personality really shines through. He is also very sweet with Lucy, helping to keep her clean by helping her with grooming. The two would probably do best in a home with more than one human so they can each get the one-on-one attention they deserve. Kasu and Lucy were surrendered by their owner because they were leaving the country and couldn't take them along. This has resulted in Kasu feeling a bit stressed by the upheaval of being in a new home and he'll sometimes hide for a bit if he gets too overwhelmed, but doesn't tend to stay away for too long because he's generally a very curious boy. If you're looking for a sweet, goofy muppet who is a total delight to spend time with and comes with his own built in bestie, then Kasu and Lucy could be the perfect pair for you! Thank you for giving two best friends a loving home together! Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair is $150 per cat, versus our standard fee of $200 per adult cat.

Story
RANDY - DLH, male, neutered, grey, DOB Apr 9/13 Randy is a very sensitive boy that will need a quiet home with someone who is patient and kind. He is settling into his foster home well and now purrs and enjoys being petted. He's not used to the love and attention. He is ok with other cats and may do well with a confident cat in the home. He recently had a dental done so his teeth are good but it was discovered he has a mild thyroid condition. He is required to take an oral medication morning and night and he's a champ about it. It's a fairly inexpensive medication. Are you that special person who will give Randy a wonderful home and all the love he deserves? November 5, 2024, 10:10 am
