Story
Miss Ivy is still available as we search for the perfect home. She is a sweet 6 year old girl who loves the company of her human, but is also very independent. Ivy is a bit shy and operates on her own terms, but once she knows she is in a safe space, she will be eager to give you love and affection. Her favorite places to sleep are under the bed or in a closet, and on the cat tree basking in the sun. Ivy loves to sit by you while you’re watching TV, lay by an open window, and play with toys (springs, strings, and catnip of course are her absolute favorites!). She also LOVES to be brushed and will start purring instantly. This girl is looking for a patient and loving adopter who will give her the time she needs to adjust to her new home. Ivy needs to be the only cat in the home, and she will do best with older kids and adults. She truly is a sweetie. We know you’ll fall in love with her!

Story
Knuckle had some areas of hair loss upon arrival that turned out to be ringworm, and he is currently receiving treatment. Ringworm is actually not a worm at all, but instead it`s a fungal skin infection similar to athlete`s foot. He will need to be bathed twice weekly in a medicated solution until the infection has cleared. THS will provide the bathing solution for the remainder of treatment. Want to hear the best news? The adoption fee has been WAIVED for his new family! Ringworm can be contagious to people or other animals, but our adoption counselors will give you tips for housing, handling, and care to minimize the risk of spread to family members or other pets at home.

Story
Angus is a Domestic Long Hair (DLH)-mix, male, DOB: 4/15/22. Angus is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). He is comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and he’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into his new surroundings. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption. Angus currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet him by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above. All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption. Story
Apply at www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/sms-a-93 Rosa Paws and her brother, Martin Luther Kitten Jr., were once feral kittens found in a McDonald's parking lot in Milan during the winter. Since their rescue, they've been acclimating to domestic life and learning to trust humans. They've thrived in their foster home, showing a fondness for being brushed, receiving affection, and playing with balls. The pair are almost indistinguishable, though Rosa is slightly smaller than her brother.
