Story
Kuzco’s story is one of resilience and transformation. When he first arrived, he was completely feral—terrified of people and unsure if he could trust anyone. After living in a home where he was constantly chased by dogs, it’s no surprise he came to us scared and defensive. But with patience, time, and a whole lot of gentle care, Kuzco has finally accepted that he likes us—and we love him right back! Now he leans into scratches, seeks out attention, and enjoys the simple comforts of being safe and loved. When Kuzco came to us, he was covered in painful mats that were pulling on his skin. To help him feel better, he had to be fully shaved, but his gorgeous long coat will grow back in no time, and we know it’ll be even more stunning. Because of his past experiences, Kuzco will need a calm, dog-free home where he can continue to feel secure. He deserves a family that will be patient, loving, and understanding as he continues to blossom into the wonderful, affectionate companion we know he can be. If you believe in second chances and have a quiet home full of love to give, Kuzco is ready to meet you.

Story
Evan is the kind of cat who makes relaxation look like an art form. With his gorgeous long fur and calm demeanor, he’s a true gentleman of leisure. We picture him perched on the back of a recliner, quietly watching birds out the window for hours — and honestly, that’s probably his dream afternoon. He’s incredibly laid-back, loves gentle affection, and doesn’t ask for much — just a cozy spot, a window with a view, and a human who appreciates quiet companionship. Evan is the perfect match for someone who enjoys a calm home and a cat who wants to simply be with you, no drama, no chaos, just contentment. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion to share your space and your heart, Evan might be the perfect fit. Let him be your bird-watching buddy and relaxation coach — he’s really good at it.

Story
Meet Marisol and Maximus! These two sweet babies came to us when a person who does TNR had them at the clinic and afterwards they were going to be dropped off at a barn. We saw their faces and knew they were destined for so much more! They've been in their foster home for roughly 7 months and are now one year old. When they first came to us, Mary and Max were extremely shy but still welcomed love and pets. Over time, this bonded pair have become complete love bugs. Sometimes at a loud noise, new stimulus, or new people they still cower away for a few minutes- but they’re sure to come back around and get as close as they can to you. We wouldn’t describe these two as lap cats, but definitely velcro cats! When you enter their space they come up to you curiously seeking pets and affection. Mary is fairly confident in herself and doesn’t get spooked as often and Max. She’ll walk up, present herself, and demand you give her scritches. She has such a calm, cool, and collected demeanor about her. Max can be slightly more apprehensive than Mary, but he will under all circumstances chase you around with his tail shaking in anticipation of getting love. Although he seems timid initially, he in particular loves hard and firm pets and scratches. He’ll lean into your hands and hope you don’t pull away… ever lol. These two absolutely adore each other and where you’ll find one, you’ll find the other. They like to nap, play, eat, and snuggle together all day every day! They’re still fairly young, but they don’t obtain the high energy most kittens do. They’re quite laid back and prefer to sit on a cat tower with one another or look out the window and gaze at things passing by. Both of these kitties absolutely love other cats! They spend all their time with their foster friends and can’t get enough of them. Due to their more apprehensive nature, we don’t recommend they be placed in a home with children under 8 years of age unless your child truly understand cats spaces, and respecting their bodies and boundaries. They don’t mind being picked up in short increments and it really helps them learn to trust their people when the person doesn’t just abruptly intrude on their space by grabbing, lifting, etc. We recommend a calmer household for these two where they can really blossom into the full version of themselves with a patient and loving owner. If you’re interested in this stunning pair, submit an application at www.cassidyscritters.com or submit an inquiry here with your email/phone number attached so we can reach out!
