Story
Sweet laid back girl, mother of 3 kittens, who has lived in a trailer park all her life, often outside, and never wanted. She has tested positive for FIV but, although she is listed as special needs, she actually has NO special needs - FIV is neither a life threatening nor a life changing condition. Cloud is low maintenance (uses litter box with no scattering, uses scratching box, plays without being destructive and is very loving without smothering you). And she likes to sleep with you. All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative. If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer. Thanks!

Story
Meet Annie and Oliver Annie and Oliver were found huddled together on the side of the road. A good Samaritan stopped to help them and then called HART. When they came into the foster home they were terrified and hungry. They needed a safe quiet space to decompress and adjust to regular food and water. After a few weeks, they started to play with their foster family! They were still very scared and would run if you moved too quickly but they were making progress and feeling more comfortable. We found out the quickest way to their hearts is through treats! They can't get enough and will come running to you to get more! We have had them in foster care for a few months now, and there is a huge difference from when they first came to us! Oliver (all gray, long hair) is the quicker of the two to warm up. He doesn't mind being brushed but generally takes pretty good care of his grooming needs. He will butt his head into your hand and let you pet him as long as you don't move too fast. He is a bit more curious and likes to explore. He can be vocal and sounds like he is asking questions while he walks around. Annie (gray and white, short hair) is more tentative but I can tell she wants to trust you, it's just a bit harder for her. She loves to be pet and will purr and kneed as long as she is in a space where she feels safe. Her go to spot in her foster home is at the top of the cat tree where she feels more in control of her area. She is the more playful of the two and can't resist a shoestring or wand toy! Annie and Oliver do well with the resident cats and don't mind the resident dog either (though he is pretty calm and very good with cats). I don't believe they would do well in a home with small children since they are easily scared by sudden movements and noises. I think they will do best in calm, quiet home where they are given time to adjust. They may never be lap cats, but they will surely make good companions. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together! Annie and Oliver are around 1-2 years old and are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered.
