Story
Poor little Trixie was abandoned in an apartment in Urbana after her owner moved out. We were able to take her in so we can find a good home for her. Shes a sweet, quiet cat who just wants a calm, loving family to take care of her for the rest of her life. She's living in the Kool Katz room now, one of our free-roam adult cat rooms at the shelter. She's a quiet, reserved cat who gets along well with her roommates. She does love to play, especially with the fishing pole toys. She'd be a wonderful addition to virtually any family.Note from Paws humans: To apply to adopt any of our cats or kittens, please visit our website and fill out our on-line application at https://www.pawsurbana.org/apply-to-adopt

Story
Hello, I'm Jackson. I'm a bit timid, but don't let that fool you. I'm as sweet as they come. I got my shyness from my mom, she was a wild one. But don't worry, I'm not like her. I'm learning to trust, to love. Every day, I'm growing braver, more confident. I'm discovering the joy of soft pats and warm laps. I'm a gentle soul, eager to find a place where I can feel safe and loved. Adopting me won't just change my life, it'll add a bundle of joy to yours. Let's make beautiful memories together.Note from Paws humans: Jackson came to us with his brother, Shaggy (who has been adopted). Their mom was feral, and has now been trapped and spayed, so no more kittens for her. The family taking care of mom brought her two gorgeous kittens to Paws Animal Shelter so they could be adopted. Story
Hello there, I'm Betty. I've got a heart full of love and a purr that could melt even the coldest of hearts. I'm a sweet, friendly, and gentle soul who loves nothing more than curling up on a warm lap or playing with a toy mouse. I'm used to living in a home and I miss it dearly. I've been told I have a calming presence, a soothing purr that brings comfort to those around me. I'm easy to love and easier to care for. I'm Betty, your new best friend. Why should you adopt me? Because I have a lifetime of love to give and I'm ready to share it with you. I promise, you won't regret it.Note from Paws humans: Betty and Wilma were surrendered because their owner had to move in with her elderly mother. The mother isn't doing well and has fallen multiple times. She felt the cats would be a tripping hazard for her mother. Story
Hello, I'm Boomer. I'm quite the social butterfly, always up for a chat or a play. I've been told I'm sweet and friendly, but I think I'm just being myself. I've had some health challenges in the past. My ears used to bother me a lot, but the nice folks here treated me and now I feel great! Oh, and my fur! It was a mess, but they gave me a cool lion cut. Now I feel like a brand new cat. I've got a lot of love to give and I'm looking for a forever home where I can share it. Adopt me, and let's make some memories together.Note from Paws humans: Boomer showed up at someone's house, with an ear infection and badly matted fur. He's a gorgeous long-haired cat, and his fur will grow back beautifully. Story
This lovely lady has a strong sense of what she enjoys—especially getting pets and relaxing with a good nap. She’ll need to be the only cat in her future home, where she can reign as queen of the castle. With her sweet and independent nature, she would thrive in a peaceful, quiet home that matches her regal personality.
