Sam is a beautiful Maine Coon mix with a slightly red tinted black coat, long tufts on paws, bushy tail and ruff to keep his neck warm. He was begging in my neighborhood, so I started feeding him and after a day or two he would walk right up and beg from my kitchen door. Attempts to find his home went unanswered. This extrovert is not shy of anything or anyone. He is a door greeter and loves to meet you at the door and knows no strangers. However, he is on a daily medication. He prefers a male owner and is less a fan of chilling with women. Sam enjoys being gently petted, never aggressively, when he approaches you. Once he has had enough his ears will begin to flatten and that is the time to stop. He likes to be softly held or picked up.Sleeping on your bed is his preference but not on top of you. Introducing Etoufee- sweet and silly and the bonded sibling of Chickory. They must be adopted together. She chirps, makes yum yum noises when she eats and likes to be in the mix of things. She and her brother both love to be held, snuggled and also play hard together. Hey there! My name is Beamer and I want to be your pal. My foster mom says I'm a fluffy ,soft and snuggly happy go lucky little guy. Who is just so adorable...now I am not going to argue with her on that. - I mean just look at my cute ear floof!  I'm also playful and fun too. French Onion is an affectionate and fun little ball of fluff. She loves to run and wrestle and play, but she also loves to soak up attention and pets from her humans. Do you want to be admired but not have people be all handsy/huggy with you? Me too!!! I am a gorgeous boy who has had a bit of a rough life and that has led me to be suspicious of some people (especially men). I have tried meditating but found that setting boundaries (3 pets on the head and not 4; snuggles only when authorized) is the best way to go. This handsome boy is extremely large and likes to be spoiled and have his own way. He wants a quiet home with no dogs, kids and if there are any other cats, they need a slow intro with him. This sweet boy just wants a quiet place and lap time. He is the sweetest of sweet cats with his human and he is so very deserving. He has dealt with losing his home 3 times (through zero fault of his own), so this time it will require the best of best of homes and a person dedicated to spoiling him. Although he may tolerate another cat in the home, he is not going to be a pal or want them near him. He is not a fan of other animals or noise - likely due to the trauma he dealt with when he was dumped outside (where he is way too big of a baby to be).  Inside he is quiet, mellow and unassuming. He will slowly melt into your lap before you even realize he is there. He is cautious in new environments but once he finally feels safe, he will be your constant companion. He is a big guy - over 14 pounds - and fluffy. He will tolerate brushing but will need some substantial cat trees/scratchers as he is not a fan of nail trims.Clearly he has not had a charmed life of mani pedis early on that made him feel comfortable with them and that is fair.  This sweet guy has had way too much bad happen to him to have one more single negative thing happen. He is amazing, sweet, gentle and gorgeous.Habits that he has that you must learn to love - he clearly was an only kitten and did not learn gentle play. If you overstimilate him he will take his massive paws and grab you and maybe nibble. The paws alone are pretty strong and even trimmed, those nails are impressive. And nail trimming. He is not a fan. We do it using two people and can show you how we safetly do it. It is doable if you are willing.
