Story
Sam is a beautiful Maine Coon mix with a slightly red tinted black coat, long tufts on paws, bushy tail and ruff to keep his neck warm. He was begging in my neighborhood, so I started feeding him and after a day or two he would walk right up and beg from my kitchen door. Attempts to find his home went unanswered. This extrovert is not shy of anything or anyone. He is a door greeter and loves to meet you at the door and knows no strangers. However, he is on a daily medication. He prefers a male owner and is less a fan of chilling with women. Sam enjoys being gently petted, never aggressively, when he approaches you. Once he has had enough his ears will begin to flatten and that is the time to stop. He likes to be softly held or picked up.Sleeping on your bed is his preference but not on top of you. Being alone in the house is no problem for Sam. Sam is a cat that loves to be admired. If you are interested in adopting Sam, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Story
She’s an amazing cat. Loving. Fluffy. Snuggly. She’s become territorial and jealous over us having a newborn. She’s great with all other animals. She’s vocal and plays. Uses a litterbox well but she’s been peeing wherever the baby is or sleeps. She sits well to have her nails trimmed and is super cute. She’s a big cat with whatever she is mixed with, we believe she’s like a tuxedo main coon mix with how her shape, tail and hair is. I want her in a happy healthy home where she can be herself and taken care of like none other. We have been trying to comfort her and reassure her that she is still loved but after 3 weeks she seems to have become more jealous acting.

Story
Meow everyone! My name is Archibald and this is my best friend Kazo. We are two handsome felines looking for their forever home. We can both be a little shy at first but once we get to know you you`ll see that we have the best personalities. I`m a goofy guy that loves attention and cuddles while Kazo is the life of the party, always ready to play with his toys or lounge in the sun. So if you`re looking for two fun loving companions to bring some happiness into your life, look no further! Come take us home! How did I get here? Transferred from Scotland County Humane Society where I came in as a stray. **I am bonded to Kazo so we get to go home together. I have tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) and FeLV (feline leukemia) - please speak with an adoption specialist for more information.**~Our adoption fee is waived.~

Story
Meet Noodle! Noodle is an approximately 8-year-old domestic longhair that loves pets, treats, and big windows. She is a very affectionate kitty who would love to become your chatty shadow. Her adoption fee will cover a pet carrier, food and water bowls, her favorite toys, and some of her favorite food. Over the past year, Noodle has begun to show some seemingly stress-related behaviors, such as spraying and biting. This behavior is seemingly exclusive to my room and me, as she does not bite my roommates or spray in their rooms. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to afford vet appointments and/or medication. For these reasons, I would prefer her to go to a home with an experienced pet owner. She does not do well with other cats or young children, but historically does well with (pre-)teens and can tolerate dogs who give her space.

Story
Do you want to be admired but not have people be all handsy/huggy with you? Me too!!! I am a gorgeous boy who has had a bit of a rough life and that has led me to be suspicious of some people (especially men). I have tried meditating but found that setting boundaries (3 pets on the head and not 4; snuggles only when authorized) is the best way to go. My person who gave me all the love in all the right doses passed away and now I am looking for that purrfect person who understands that I just like company and to be near you and like to be the one making the first move for attention. I am gorgeous, fluffy, entertaining and low energy. I am an easy boy to have around. I do have allergies to dust and such and as such may sneeze some artsy designs upon occasion but it doesn't slow me down and I don't mind if you don't. I was overlooked by people before my last mom because I am FIV+. What does that mean? Not a lot. It is mostly a label. People say that if I get sick I should go to the vet but that is pretty much what you would do with any cat. So if you care about what it means then you can find out more at https://fivcats.com/. I live with other cats and do fine. I just like a nice window, soft bed and person to snuggle next to. And I love my picture taken. If my handsome face makes you smile, then consider letting me make you smile every day and make me part of your family.  If you are interested in adopting Humphrey, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60-75 miles of the Raligh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. DOB is approx 3/22/2018 Adoption fee is $50 ##1111324##

Story
Meet our literary family - Agnes Grey and Branwell and their children Bronte and Jane Eyre. Their story begins dramatically with their being left in a tote container on a person's porch. The kind person took the cats in, but then was targeted for eviction for trying to help the cats. She reached out to rescue and we were able to take this little family in.   Meet Jane Eyre, the epitome of feline grace and charm. With her sleek, medium-haired, panther-like appearance, Jane is both elegant and enchanting. This adventurous kitten revels in playtime with her brother, Bronte, and gets along splendidly with other cats. Her sociable nature extends to children, making her an excellent companion for families.   Jane's curious spirit is matched only by her affectionate heart. She loves to climb and explore but also cherishes quiet moments indulged in cuddles and head scratches, rewarding them with her melodic purrs. One of her endearing quirks is her playful tendency to stick her tongue out, especially while window watching and dreaming up her next escapade. Whether chasing sunbeams or snuggling up on a cozy lap, Jane Eyre brings immense joy and warmth to her surroundings, making her the perfect addition to any loving home.     If you are interested in adopting Jane Eyre, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption.
