These two must’ve heard the adage, “do one thing every day that scares you” and took it to heart. Change wasn't easy but before long, there wasn’t much left to be afraid of. Timmy is gentle and playful, and enjoys watching the world from the window. He loves to wildly chase a wand toy and follow it up with a churu treat. While he doesn’t have to be adopted with Trent, he’d love to share his home with his brother if you’re looking for two!**Trent and Timmy are currently in their foster home. Profile and Pics: Meet Alfred, our wonderful, resilient street survivor, ready for his forever home! Our big, beautiful boy, Alfred, came to us from one of our feeding stations about a year ago. He seemed to be an old, stiff street cat worn down by life outdoors, and with winter setting in, we brought him inside. But when our vet examined him, we learned he was much younger than he looked; it was only his injured, shattered paw and gimpy hip damaged in some unknown trauma that made Alfred seem so ancient. One year later, Alfred has absolutely blossomed in foster care. This 4-year-old boy has healed well enough to be a happy and mellow purring machine craving attention and companionship. Pat the couch next to you; he’ll be by your side in a flash. Hold up a brush, and he’ll take the lead, rubbing his chin against it, almost grooming himself! Like many former tomcats biologically forced to fight for territory and love, Alfred tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). But Alfred will live a normal life if given the love and care all cats deserve. What's most important about our Alfred is he’s a big, handsome, and soulful boy looking for a family to cuddle with. Born 2014 Mona is a mature lady looking for a very special forever family. She is gentle but very shy. Mona is comfortable with other cats but it has taken her several months to come out of her shell and allow our KC volunteers to approach her and even longer to accept pets without running for cover. Mona can now often be found lounging in a window bed or spending time with the other cats in the room. She often seeks the comfort of another friendly furry friend and doesn't mind sharing a cozy bed. Mona is still wary of new people and requires a patient, gentle introduction to visitors. We believe she will thrive in a quiet home with consistent, loving care and a knowledgeable adopter. Mona would do best in a calm environment, without children or dogs. She would be a wonderful companion for another calm feline friend. Mona requires a home with an experienced cat owner.

They were very nervous and she worked with them for months to get them to trust people. The transition to the shelter has been a little tough for them but they are already doing better. The kids are all spay/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and ready to go home IN PAIRS to a family that will understand their shyness and give them time to adapt. They are absolutely worth it!
