Story
HISTORY: HALLOWEENA was rescued by Dixon Animal Protection Society and transferred to F&F for rehoming.  Before rescue, HALLOWEENA had been temporarily housed in a cage in a shed for 3 months with very little human contact, causing her to withdraw. TEMPERAMENT: Pretty HALLOWEENA came to F&F to re-socialize her and give her an opportunity to move about and play. When she recently moved to a foster home, HALLOWEENA found a safe place to hide and look out a window. After a few days, HALLOWEENA tested the waters with the human that feeds her. Soon, she began to rub all over her caregiver and ask for pets. While HALLOWEENA can only handle small amounts of attention at first, she is learning to communicate her boundaries. When adopted into a forever home, HALLOWEENA will need patience and a room to herself to get her cat mojo back. She doesn’t have a lot of patience with the young cat in her foster home, but may enjoy the companionship of a calm older cat. AGE:  born approx. 7/12/2015     MICROCHIP #:  981020053347202       DATE OF STERILIZATION: spayed, date unknown   VAX RECORD:  FVRCP expires: 4/22/25; Rabies expires: 5/6/25   FELV/FIV test:  10/23/23 neg ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ADOPTION FEE: $100        If you are interested in adopting this cat, please fill out our  Adoption Application   completely, including  three (3) personal references who do NOT share your home and are NOT related to you. Story
Gina is a beautiful, long-haired black and white cat with a gentle soul and a heart full of affection—once she feels safe, that is! Transferred to our shelter from another organization, Gina has had quite a journey. She was adopted once, but after a year, she was surrendered and found her way back to us. Though a bit nervous at first, Gina is incredibly sweet once she warms up to you. She’s the kind of cat who may take a little time to trust, but once she does, she will melt into your arms with pure love. Gina loves gentle pets and will even make little `biscuits` with her paws to show how thankful she is.As a strictly indoor kitty, Gina is looking for a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. If you`re looking for a quiet companion to share cozy moments with, Gina might be your perfect match! With a little patience, you`ll earn her trust, and in return, she’ll give you all the affection you could ask for.

Story
Meet Turnip, a handsome 1-year-old long-haired black cat with a gentle heart and a curious spirit! Turnip was found as a stray and brought to the shelter by a kind Samaritan who had been caring for him for a few days. During that time, Turnip proved to be a complete sweetheart—never showing any signs of aggression and getting along wonderfully with both cats and dogs! His easy-going nature makes him a true gem, and he quickly won over his temporary family with his calm and affectionate demeanor.Turnip is a loving boy who enjoys being pet and will happily settle in for a bit of snuggle time. While he enjoys being held for short periods, he’s not overly demanding and prefers a balance of affection and independence. His curiosity knows no bounds, and he’s always keen to explore his surroundings and meet new people or animals.Because of Turnip’s friendly interactions with dogs, he’s shown that he’s quite comfortable in a household with other pets. However, to ensure his safety, Turnip should remain strictly indoors, where he can avoid potential dangers and live the secure, happy life he deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and friendly companion who gets along with everyone, Turnip may be your perfect match. He’s ready to bring his gentle spirit and loving personality to a home that can offer him the safety and care he needs.
