  Olivia - Female DOB 4/13/2017 Domestic Long Hair Brown Tabby -    Meet Olivia, who is a sweet girl with big fluffy paws. Olivia's past has been challenging; she was abandoned at a horse farm, spending her days in a barn with horses and feral cats. Despite the kindness of the farm owners, who ensured she was spayed and vaccinated, Olivia's life was full of fear and uncertainty. Now, Olivia is safe and beginning to discover the joys of a secure, loving place to rest herself.  Confident and playful, Olivia will come and say hello to just about anyone.  In exchange for some well deserved praise, she will provide you with endless purrs and biscuits.  Olivia is considered to be a “special needs” kitty where she has been diagnosed with a form of arthritis in her rear ankles which is similar to people rheumatoid arthritis.  This condition is being managed with a form of pain medication, and will require her to be on it for the rest of her life to help with any arthritis pain.  But that is really a small price to pay with all the love you will receive from her in return.  Olivia is able to walk, jog, and play with relative ease, but this renders her a low-agility cat.  This condition may prevent her from jumping up on high things, such as chairs, beds and counters, but with help of pet stairs or a means to get up on beds or couches, she’s right there beside you.  She loves to watch kitty videos or perch herself in front of a window watching the critters and birds outside.    Olivia knows when it’s her feeding time and if you haven’t already set her wet food on the floor by that time, she will tell you in no certain terms that you’re late!  She loves to be picked up and be carried around, while being gentle with her hind end.  She loves to take naps on your lap and also will come up to you and plop right down beside you without pause.  Olivia loves to tell you about her day when you come home and will have full blown conversations with you.  She is very talented at meows containing multiple syllables lol.  This gentle soul is not a fan of other cats, but she thrives in calm, quiet environments and would flourish best in a home without other pets or children. She longs for a patient, understanding owner who spends plenty of time at home to help her feel secure and cherished. This deliciously handsome long-haired orange and white young adult male is called Creamsicle.  He is deliciously handsome and loving in spirit and temperament.   He was part of the cat colony on a rural property that a lady bought and inherited close to 40 cats. The rare element about this is that 99.9% of all the cats are loving and friendly and highly adoptable. Critter Calvary has meticulously worked on vetting all of the cats and getting them spayed and neutered. This boy is in a great foster home waiting for an even greater future for his life. Fruit Loop: I am a beautiful fluffy tortie! I can be sweet on my own terms when I am given time to warm up. When I am not seeking attention, I am a very independent, low-maintenance gal with good litter box manners! I previously lived with a baby and a 12-year old, and I was pretty uncomfortable around them. I communicated my discomfort by scratching, so I am looking for a home without kids to keep my stress levels as low as possible! I have a history of ingesting edible items. My previous owners stated that I had two obstructions when I was between the ages of 1 - 3 which required surgery to remove the items. I haven`t had any incidents of this since those times years ago, but my adopters should be mindful to keep anything that could cause an obstruction out of my reach. I seem to have a sensitive stomach and have been vomiting several times a week. My adopters should follow up with their primary veterinarian as currently all medical is coming back as normal. I am easily stressed/overwhelmed during transitions, and I am looking for an adopter who is willing to give me as much time as I need to settle in. This could be a couple of days or a couple of weeks. My success will be dependent upon how well my adopters are able to read and understand my body language. It is recommended that I be set up in my own space, an extra bedroom or bathroom, a space that no one will access unless feeding or cleaning. I should be left alone initially as I adjust. This space should include plenty of hiding places, ideally with access to vertical surfaces such as a cat tree or cat-proofed shelf, and easy access to a bed, litter box, food, and water. Gradually give me more access to the home only when I am confidently moving about my environment and I remain confident with relaxed body language when my adopter spends time with me. My previous adopters let the shelter know that I will growl, hiss, and scratch if pursued when I am hiding!! I am looking for a VERY quiet, low-traffic home with a cat-savvy adopter with lots of patience!
