Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lady, Imp and Frisky were born in a barn in mid August. Their mom disappeared when they were about 5 weeks old. Luckily they were fostered in a home with a surrogate mom and will be ready for adoption Nov 14     We really encourage kitten adopters to adopt two kittens when adopting. Cats like buddies. If introducing a younger kitten into a household with older cats the youngster may be too playful for the older cat. Having a younger buddy to wrestle and play with is ideal. We usually also have other kittens in similar age group available for adoption. Please visit our website for more pictures of this dog and info on our adoption process and application which is located on the left column under "forms & applications" :                            https://barkdogfarm.rescuegroups.org/forms Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring a pet home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the kitten to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called.  A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place.  If all are in agreement and the animal has received its NH health certificate an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid.  Adoption fees for kittens are $250.  $100 for adult cats.  Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place cats will be determined by our Board of Directors. All cats will be altered when adoption is finalized, up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, FIV and FeLK negative, microchipped and have a current health certificate.  Our cats are only adopted out AS INDOOR ONLY PETS!!! Please know we practice Covid-19 guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing.  Only approved applicants are allowed to meet our kittens. Story
Meet Sophia, the Perfect Companion Looking for Her Forever Home! Sophia is a sweet and gentle 7-year-old kitty who has recently found herself in need of a new home. This beautiful girl is spayed and up to date on all her vaccines. Sophia was diagnosed with diabetes, which is why she was surrendered to us. But don’t let that worry you—she is a loving and affectionate cat who just needs a little extra care. Sophia is friendly but might be a bit shy when you first meet her. Once she warms up, she is calm, affectionate, and enjoys quiet time with her favorite humans. Sophia is used to visiting the groomer every 3 months, so she likes to keep herself looking her best. Loud noises like vacuum cleaners can make her nervous, so a calm environment is ideal for her. She has been an indoor cat all her life and always uses her litter box. Sophia can occasionally scratch furniture, so having a scratching post for her is a must. She loves human interaction and is social, although she has never been around children or other pets. A home where she can be the center of attention would suit her well. She has had two urinary tract infections in the past, but as long as she stays on her special diet and receives her daily insulin injections (twice a day), she’s a happy and healthy kitty. Currently, she enjoys Royal Canin glycobalance wet food and does not eat dry food. If you’re looking for a wonderful, calm, and loving companion who will bring joy and warmth into your home, Sophia might be the perfect match for you. She is ready to meet her new family—could that be you? Contact us today to learn more about Sophia and how you can make her a part of your family!

Story
Cardigan has come to CVHS due to allergies in her prior home. Cardigan is an affectionate girl, who loves to give head butts and show off her great purr. In her previous home she enjoyed sitting on the couch getting pets next to her owner. Cardigan needs to go to a very calm and quiet home, as she does not do great with handling stress. She has lived her life being indoor-only. Cardigan has lived with dogs in the past, but only did well with the cat-savvy small dog. She has yet to be exposed to other felines, so we are unsure of how she will tolerate them.
