Story
Bubbles is the best girl. This 9 year old beauty is looking for a home willing to adapt to her special needs lifestyle. She was surrendered for what we thought was a food allergy causing periodic vomiting. After some testing and vet visits, she was diagnosed with GI lymphoma. Bubbles is now looking for a quiet and relaxed home to snuggle down in her remaining time. She is estimated to have around 18-24 months of a good quality of life with proper care and TLC. Her treatment plan is all set up, no emergency vet visits or procedures. She is currently comfortable and spends most of her days sleeping. She perks up for scritches and adores being brushed. She takes a daily walk around to check out the shelter and then goes back to her quiet space set aside for her where she is queen of all she can view. Some days she spends her time in our office napping in a lap or a sunny space. This is not an easy placement, and as much as we will miss her, we don't want her to spend the end of her life in a shelter. Bubbles truly deserves the world and our goal is to give it to her. She is looking for a home where her health can be monitored daily, with a specific diet and occasional medications.    The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.  Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws. If you are interesed in any of our animals please fill out an application on our website www.townandcountryanimalrescue.org After you have submitted an application and been approved, a Cat Team member will reach out to set up a “meet and greet” between you and the pet. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the cat team members or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.** Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission ##2124550##

Story
Gouda - Male - DOB- 5/1/2024 This long-haired gentleman is as sweet as he is handsome. While he may be a bit timid at first, Gouda warms up quickly and loves nothing more than to curl up on your lap or lay on your chest, purring to his heart’s content. Once he feels safe, Gouda is a playful, silly boy who loves to play with feather toys or anything crinkly and to sneak up on his siblings to surprise them! This wonderful boy deserves a wonderful home. Could he be the perfect boy for you? **Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our animals! Please be aware that we do not ship animals; all adoptions require in-person pickup in Omaha, NE, at a mutually agreed-upon location. Adoptions are processed on a first-approved basis, meaning that the first approved applicants receive priority in choosing an animal. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hearing from you. If you are interested in Gouda, please complete an application at www.nalarescue.org.**

Story
She is almost 3 years old. My sister and I got here when she was kitten found at my work. She is cuddly, energetic, and sweet cat that needs lots of attention. She love playing with toys specially her laser pointer. I can no longer provide for the attention she needs, my boyfriend is allergic to her, and my sister cannot have cats at her place of living and cannot afforded to care for her. When she is scared or mad she will bite so hard that causes bleeding and bruising. When she mad and upset she will poop on the floor, other then that she is litter train. She only just started this when my sister and me moved away from each other and I didn't have enough time for her. I will to give all of her stuff that I gotten over the time for her to her and next home. Here shot not update doing moving and having to rehome here. Long as her shots get update by her next owner I'm not requiring adapting fee. Just trying to find new home for her that can love, attention and proper care for her.

Beauty from Ashes too!Meet Carmen (approx. 2 yrs old) and Easter (approx. 1 year old) SEE Separate listing for EasterThese two girls had a sad start to life. They came to our rescue from a Mobile Home that had beenabandoned and locked for close to a month with a number of cats inside. This was an uglyhoarding/abusive situation that was none of their doing. Both of these girls are hand-shy. Carmen is the more out-going of the two and has started toapproach us, on her own terms. Easter is still very scared and shy and hides most of the time. Itwould be wonderful if they could be adopted together, but they can also find separate homes. They started off scared of everything. They now sit next to their foster parent’s legs on the couchand sometimes sleep next to them in bed. They are skittish and hard to approach. It is better to holdstill and let them approach you. But they are coming around.  They have been exposed to children, other dogs and cats but would recommend none of those or very slow introduction. These girls would be a great cat for someone who understands that it might take six months beforethey start to warm up much. It could be a year or two before they bloom. But they will be SUPERLOYAL once they feel safe. They do not have any negative behaviors. They use their cat box verywell. Eat, sleep, drink, snuggle with each other. They just need the right person and a very gentleapproach to feel safe and secure.November 5, 2024, 6:18 pm
