Story
Hardee was found at a Hardee's restaurant. He is a gorgeous long haired black cat. He is very friendly & loves everybody! He loves to be held or lay in your lap, especially if you're brushing him. He would do well in a home with young kids and other cats to play with. He was born in August 2023. He has been neutered & is up to date on his vaccinations. This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Date of Birth: approx 8/16/2023 Weight: 8 pounds Good with dogs: Has meet dogs Good with cats: Yes Litter box trained: Yes *indoor cat only* Hi, I’m Lightlark! I’m a sweet young adult cat, just 1 year old and weighing 12 pounds. I recently finished raising my kittens and am now ready to find a loving home of my own. Even though I’ve been a mama, I’m still a kitten at heart, learning all about life as a housecat. I love mealtimes (who doesn’t?), and I’m great at using my foster sister’s scratching post. I’m also super tidy—I always clean up stray litter around my box. New things can spook me a bit, but I’m brave and adjust well over time. Toys are still new to me, but I’m learning, and I especially love anything that dangles. I’m also quite the chatterbox—I’m vocal and love being around people. Oh, and here’s a fun fact: I’ve figured out how to open my bedroom door, which always keeps my foster mom on her toes! If you’re looking for a curious, brave, and playful cat who loves to be with people (and maybe outsmart you a bit!), I could be the perfect companion for you!   Please fill out a Feline application here: https://underdogrescuemn.com/adoption-applications/feline-adoption-application/   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
Constance (mom - 4 years old) and her 1-year-old children, Conrad and Caroline (littermates) are beautiful, sweet, and affectionate cats looking for their forever home! Mama Constance is a sweet, quiet girl. She's very tolerant and laid back. Baby Face Caroline is like her mom: sweet and chill. To mix things up, Lover Boy Conrad is very outgoing and affectionate. Together, they are a lovely trio! Mama Constance's favorite thing to do is take a nap! She loves a quiet, dark, cozy space; covered beds are her favorite! Baby Face Caroline loves to snuggle and watch what's going on outside from the comfort of a cat tree! Lover Boy Conrad loves joining the resident clowder for joint treat time, curling up with his person in bed or on the couch and getting allllll the pet-pets and belly scratches. He also loves to play with his sister and bat catnip toys around the house. The girls are pretty laid back and low energy. Baby Face Caroline will play with her brother if he wants to play. Con Man is a young dude—he'll play when he gets the chance and loves following his person around, but he's also an expert napper. These pretty kitties are currently living in a townhome with their foster mom, a small senior dog, and a chill clowder of old lady resident cats. These sweeties do great with my elderly dog and the other felines; they haven’t met any children yet. These cuties would make a great addition to any home. They are loving, cute, and so much fun. Because of their incredibly soft and silky hair (they are part Norwegian Forest Cat,) they'll need to be brushed regularly. I just want to point out that they all have the most majestic ear wispies. They are all amazing in their own way: Conrad is the big man with the biggest mittens, Caroline is the sweetie with the permanent eyeliner, ad Constance is the beauty with the spotted coat. If you’re ready to give a truly lovely family a happy home together, why not go big this holidays season and ring in the new year with a truly tremendous trio. Constance, Caroline, and Conrad are so excited to give you hours of fun and playful joy! There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Story
Coral is a 1.5-year-old, affectionate gal looking for her forever home and forever humans! This striking gal loves spending time with her humans. She will follow them around the apartment, hang out with them on the couch, and even rest her head on their shoulders while napping. When her humans are home and she does not have access to them, she will make it known vocally that this situation needs to change ASAP! She is very affectionate and loves cuddling—she especially likes to sleep on her humans or right next to them at night. Coral enjoys resting in her low-to-the-ground cat tree. Since she doesn't seem to have a big vertical leap, having low-to-the-ground cat trees or other stepping blocks would be very beneficial in her forever home, enabling her to still enjoy the views even if things are too high for her to reach. Coral is not the most active feline but will play when she wants. She enjoys taking some time out of her day to play with the stuffed mouse, ball, or other toys she has access to. She can also entertain herself when she wants to play. When playtime is over, you’ll spot her sleeping in her cat tree or other cozy places in the apartment. Coral currently resides in an apartment with two humans and the resident cat. Coral and the resident cat do not get along, so they are separated 100% of the time. This pretty lady’s ideal home would be a single-pet household (i.e. her!) with many toys and low areas for her to climb and rest/sit on. She would like her humans to be easily accessible when they are home, as she loves spending time with them; she does well with adults and is good with cat-savvy kids. People who work from home or are around frequently would be a perfect setup for this charming gal. If you’d like to add some feline fun and affection to your home this winter, please consider adding the beautiful Itty Bitty Coral to your family! Story
Kody is a 1.5-year-old, affectionate lion looking for his forever home! This handsome guy might look like a majestic lion, but at heart, he's our very own Cowardly Lion. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was reserved and cautious, but just like his namesake from The Wizard of Oz, Kody has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate companion who adores his friends! Once Kody warms up to you, he’ll become your loyal sidekick. Whether he’s sitting beside you (or on top of you!), following you around, or keeping a close eye on your activities, Kody is always ready to be by your side. He loves pets, tummy rubs, and will reward you with his loud, happy purrs. When he’s especially content, he’ll flop over on his side, eagerly awaiting more tummy rubs. Kody has a unique daily ritual: he loves his gentle butt pats! He’ll excitedly run to his favorite room and wait for you to join him for this special bonding time. Kody isn’t shy about letting you know when he wants attention—he’ll be sure to remind you that he deserves some extra love. If you're ready for a gentle, affectionate, and devoted companion, Kody is your guy! This friendly boy also has a playful side and loves his toys (just no wand toys, please—they're a bit too spooky for him!). He also enjoys catnip and watching the world go by from the safety of a warm, cozy spot indoors. After spending time outside in the cold, Kody is deeply appreciative of his indoor life and couldn’t be happier to leave those days behind. Kody is a big boy with a lot of love to give—and he's already making progress on his weight-loss journey, having lost nearly 1 pound in his foster home! He enjoys getting his exercise by running from room to room, but his absolute favorite activity is brushing time. Kody loves being brushed, especially his long, luxurious mane. Regular brushing (at least once a week) is a must to keep his coat tangle-free, but luckily, Kody adores grooming sessions and happily soaks up all the attention. His forever humans must commit to this frequent grooming schedule, to maintain his coat quality and help keep this lovely lion at his most handsome and comfortable. Kody currently lives in a 3-bedroom duplex with two adults and one other cat. His ideal home would be a quiet place with great views of the outside world! He'd do fine with other cats in the home along with cat-savvy older children. After initial introductions he cohabitates well with his foster cat sibling. He has a history of living with other cats before coming to Pet Haven but is unknown with dogs and kids at this point. This stunning, regal boy is full of affection and so ready to enjoy the cozy indoor life. If you work from home or are around a lot, and enjoy brushing your very own lion while giving lots of pets, then Kody is eager to be your perfect companion!
