Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey there! It’s me, Melvin. Life in my cozy spare bedroom is pretty great! During the day, I lounge around, but once night falls, I turn into a little tornado, pouncing and playing with my favorite crinkly toys. One of my funniest habits? Making biscuits! I knead the air while I eat and do “air” biscuits when I’m lying on my back. It’s too cute! I absolutely adore cuddling and will happily nuzzle up for pets—my affection level is long and cozy. So, here I am, a quirky little cat enjoying my adventures. Purrs and whiskers to you! Watch a video of Melvin! Melvin is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 22, 2024, 3:08 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Bootsy. I am handsome gentleman that is looking for a new home because my mom passed away. She wasn't just my mom. She was my best friend so I would really love a home where I can have a new person that can become my best friend again because I miss that. I never lived with other kitties so I do need to be an only pet. Don't worry, though, I will keep you plenty company so you will never feel lonely. I'm a really good boy with a huge heart. Story
Hello! My name is Miss Swan. I am a lovely senior lady who is looking for a loving home. I lost my home because I was not happy about the new dog that moved in. He was young and rambunctious and that made me nervous. My ideal home would be a quiet and relaxing place where I can get some nice quality lap time with my humans. I get along with other kitties as long as they are also easy going and are nice to me. It takes me a bit to warm up to new environments which, to be fair should not be a surprise since I lived in the same home most of my life. Once I warm up I will show you just how sweet I really am. Story
Hi! My name is Peanut. I'm such a little baby, my mom just thought the name fit really well because I've been very small the whole time she's had me. I am a really shy kitty and it takes me a while to come out of my shell(Pun intended) I have a big personality when I do warm up to you. I can squeak really loud when I am hungry and want attention. I LOVE butt scritches and head pats and more scritches behind the ears. My brother and I would like to go together because he makes me more comfortable and he has been there ever since I was a wee little babe. My big brother Calvin would rough house with me and then clean me when I get dirty. He's so nice to me... but like an older brother does, he can be a pain as well. He is an attention hog for sure! My mom is looking for a long-term foster for my brother and I, or a reeeaaallly good home for the both of us. She is willing to negotiate the adoption fee for both of us as long as we go together. Take us home with you!

Story
CONNOR / 9 YEARS / DOMESTIC LONGHAIR CAT Connor does not have a single mean bone in his body. He loves all people (just not young children), other cats, and dogs! He likes to sleep on the bed with you and likes to cuddle on your lap if you are on the couch. He uses his litter box perfectly and allows his nails to be trimmed (he is front declawed, so it is just his back claws). He does not like being outside, so he is not one to try and run out the door. He is quiet and does not jump up on counters. Connor is looking for a new home because he was having difficulties distancing himself from the family’s toddler. Dogs: Yes! Cats: Yes! Connor is on the submissive side so makes cat friends easily but will also need to be protected from bullying behavior. Kids: Older, respectful children only. Connor was very uncomfortable with the young children in his former family, so his new home would ideally not have children under 10 years of age. Health Concerns: Connor has chronic sinusitis which can cause him to have sneezing attacks. While this isn't harming his overall health at this time, it will need to be continually monitored for increasing severity.   &#226&#156&#168 If you'd like to adopt Connor, please fill out an adoption application here      http://www.greyfacerescue.org/cat-adoption-applicationNovember 19, 2024, 11:19 am
