Story
Hello, My name is Joss. I was witnessed being tossed from a car. Thankfully a good samaritan picked me up and SFAAR had room to take me in. I am a friendly, social girl that enjoys attention. Very friendly but still have a streak of independence. I hope you choose to adopt me into your homeVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 3:58 pm

Story
Hello, My name is Bugsy. I was one of 8 kittens abandoned on a property when the owner went to hospital and unable to come home. The family came across a lot cats/kittens needing rescue. SFAAR was able to help with 10 cats/kttens. We are a little reserved at first but warm up quickly with a little TLC. We are more concerned with playing with all the things and chasing/cuddling with each other. We would do best with a confident cat friend to help up grow up confident and outgoing. We hope to be adopted with a sibling or have another fur friend in the home. I hope you choose to adopt one of us to show us how us what a forever home can be and how sweet it is.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 20, 2024, 1:14 pm

Please read Smartie's ENTIRE profile before reaching out. If he is then of interest to you, we ask that you visit our website to review our adoption process and requirements and to schedule an on-site visit (walk-in hours are also available). www.ggohinc.com Smartie is such a handsome fella, don't you think? We sure do! Smartie landed at GGOH coming from a colony - he was brought in with three siblings. Smartie is a quiet and somewhat shy fella - he is what we like to call a "background observer". He will watch from a distance until he feels that everything is safe and then will slowly join whatever is going on - new visitor scenario. He is also one of our more cautious cats, one that we know will take some time to adjust to new surroundings. But, we don't discount him! We also know that in the right environment, with the right person, and with time on his side (rather than yours), he will trust, he will feel safe, and he will thrive. Smartie needs the companionship of another cat - as mentioned, he is a cat's cat. Ideally, we would love to see him adopted with another cat from our program (he also has a shy sister here, Candy) as he is ALWAYS snuggled up with another cat, and sometimes multiple cats (envision cat pile!). He's pretty quick to accepting new cats though so if you're still reading this far into his profile, and considering him, we can tell you he would adapt to your current cat(s) in no time should you have one. He just really needs a home where he can be the cat he wants to be, without pressure to adjust to human needs on a time line. And if you should be interested, we have lots of experience with introducing cats like Smartie into new homes and we would 100% be on board with talking you through it and providing support and suggestions along the way should you need it. Because of Smartie's personality, we do not recommend him going into a home with children - he needs a quiet, mature home as that's where he would do best. We also do not know how he is with dogs and would prefer to not expose him to that added change right off the bat (if you are considering a dog as well down the road, he would likely do just fine with that once he has established his place in your home). We know that Smartie has a person out there somewhere. If Smartie's person is not you but you have some thoughts on where he might do well, please share his post with that person - sometimes all it takes is a bit of networking to find cats like Smartie a home. Smartie's DOB is approx. 7/29/2021.
