Story
Midnight, a beautiful male 5-year-old, long hair Tabby, came to us last Fall, skinny as a rail and covered in burrs from head to toe. We tried for a year to find his owner without success. He would come late every night for food (thus the name Midnight) He eventually allowed us to pet him, then place him in a kennel for a trip to the vet. Was neutered, all vaccinations, worming, ear mite treatment, antibiotic for an ear wound, FeLV/FIV is negative, he will receive boosters 11/24. Weight 12.5lb last vet check. Midnight would love to have an inside-only home where he is the center of attention (does not get along with our cat). He loves to cuddle, be brushed, play, and eat out of our hands. We are not sure if he is appropriate for small children. Midnight is litter trained and has never had an accident inside. He is very particular about his litter box being clean and will meow to let us know when he has used it so we can clean it out. He is playful and loves to be loved on!

Story
Naomi is an adult, spayed female cat, probably born in 2022. She's quiet and gentle and keeps to herself in her colony room.  She doesn't hide, so she's not scared, just very self-contained.  She was spayed prior to arrival, so she was likely an owned cat or kitten at some point.  She was very matted when she arrived at the pound, so they shaved her - right now, she's very velvety and soft, but eventually she will grow and glamorous muted tortioseshell coat and be a stunning beauty.  November 3, 2024, 4:36 pm

Story
Update July 2022: Dextra has begun seeking out loves and attention from us! This gal may prove to be a pampered indoor kitty yet! As most know, our shelter has a soft spot for those harder cases that arrive. Most recently on our minds are our ferals, that are now loving kitties, as well as those kitties that we lovingly call Independents. Dextra is one of our Independent gals. She is one of a handful of kitties that still do not want human affection and that is okay. She will likely never seek attention and will rarely allow you to be close. She would not mind a barn home or shop. A place where she can just be on her own without forced human interactions, to be fed and kept warm, with the ability to get out of the elements when she desired. These kitties have a place in the world and it could be with you! Visitors to the shelter are by appointment only and after an application has been submitted online: Adopt App: https://www.marshmallowfoundation.org/info/adoption Volunteer and Foster Apps: https://www.marshmallowfoundation.org/info/display?PageID=16251 Sponsor-A-Pet: https://www.marshmallowfoundation.org/animals/browse?special=sponsorable Donate: https://www.marshmallowfoundation.org/info/display?PageID=16147
