I was found near a local business, no identification. After kind folks realized that I was homeless, I secured a spot at Animal Ark. I`m looking for a new home where I can be treasured like the petite princess I was meant to be. Staff and volunteers have found me to be very sweet, outgoing, and affectionate. I did test positive for feline leukemia, a common virus that effects about 2% of the U.S. cat population. It is not transmittable to humans or species other than cats. Staff will be glad to answer any questions. If a mini house panther sounds appealing, please come to the shelter to meet me!

I enjoy watching birds from a window, and I`m just a sweet, mellow fellow. Because very little is known of my background, I need to be the only pet in my new home.

I`m called Kevin, and I`m a 1-year-old orange and white longhaired male cat that was found roaming a neighborhood, unclaimed. When space opened up, I came to Animal Ark to find a new home where I will be a cherished member of a family. Staff have found me to be playful, affectionate, and energetic. I can`t go home to a home with dogs--I`m terrified of them, probably because of experiences when I was a stray. My exposure to children is unknown. Staff at the shelter have discovered that I do not do well with other cats, so I will need to be an only cat in my new home. Now that I`ve had a taste of the outdoors, my new family will have to be vigilant about keeping me indoors. (Sky and Ember must be adopted together) Ember and Sky are best friends and have been bonded since the beginning! They are each other's yin and yang. Sky tends to be more of an introvert and Ember is definitely an extrovert. Ember is a lap cat and Sky prefers side snuggles. Sky tends to be more independent and Ember codependent. It's believed Sky had poor experiences with humans when she was a kitten and as a result tends to be more cautious. Ember has taken it upon herself to be Sky's guardian and guide and it's the sweetest thing! If Ember senses Sky is scared, she will stand in front of her to make her feel protected and safe. Sky takes her lead and Ember gives her confidence she needs and allows her to be brave. Sky will take longer to settle in then Ember, but once she does she blossoms into a sweet, calm and loving girl. They both enjoy affection, although Ember tends to take the spotlight! She is a kneading queen and will make dough on any surface. Sky appreciates the quiet soft love; full body pets and head caresses but especially chin rubs. Those are her favorite! They both LOVE wand toys! They also like shaker mice and balls, and will play with a ball chaser every now and then. They both enjoy laying in a sunny window, atop a cat tower watching the birds outside and chittering at them. Baby is a very affectionate cat. She loves to be petted and likes to lay on your lap. She demands a lot of attention. I work a lot and I feel that she would be better in a different home because I am not home enough to give her the attention she needs. Baby is partly Japanese Long-haired bobtail cat. She has a very short nubby tail. Her tail does get in the way when she goes to the bathroom so she needs help with making sure that area is kept clean. She has never been around dogs and she is a bit shy and scared of people she doesn't know at first.

Evy is a 7-year-old sweet cat looking for her forever home! This sweet floofy gal loves to chill all day. She'll find a warm or fuzzy spot and sleep the day away...until you bring out a wand toy. Then she's all swats and jumps. She's also likely to rest on your stomach if you're lying down, or on your lap if you're sitting down. Ever the companion, if you talk to her, she'll meow right back! Evy has a medium energy level. She can get really excited about toys but otherwise she does her own thing. She'll give you a meow if she's bored, but a couple minutes of playtime calms her right back down. She can get sassy as she has particular ways, but once you learn her quirks, it's easy street. She enjoys pets and getting all the attention! This lovely lady currently lives in a quiet apartment with one human. Her ideal home is one where she doesn’t have to share the spotlight—multiple loving humans are fine, but she would do best in a home without small children or other pets. Marshall is a 2-year-old absolute lion of a sweetheart ready for his forever home! Marshall is clearly incredible handsome and regal in looks, but is even cuter with his wobbly strut! Marshall has what's called cerebellar hypoplasia, or more commonly known as wobbly cat syndrome! Not to worry; he is not in pain, and the condition simply affects his balance from the underdevelopment or malformation of the cerebellum, which is responsible for coordinating movement. He can live a full and happy life like any other cat; with some easy modifications for his safety and to help him get around a bit easier such as carpeted floors and blocking steep stairs. Marshall would be considered "moderate" with his CH. Marshall absolutely lives for scritches and brushing and snuggles and hugs! Mostly he just loves love and any amount of attention you will give him, but doesnt mind self entertaining. You will be rewarded with big purrs and the ability to get your cute aggression out in his ginormous lion mane; he is simply one of a kind! Marshall is a bit afraid of brand new people and new situations; and needs time in his favorite "safe space" cat box to observe and come out to visit at his own speed. But does well with communicating that he's uncomfortable. He is exuberant in everything he does, but has never gone too far with his play or excitement. Anyone he is comfortable with he is just thrilled to see; and there is simply no way he wont make his forever family smile every day! Marshall currently lives with 2 resident cats and one other foster. He would prefer to live as a solo cat where he can personally soak up all of their love and attention for himself. He hasn't yet met a dog, but might perhaps be okay with a very calm cat savvy dog who gives him lots of space since he can't defend himself very well with his CH. Overall, Marshall would do best in a quiet, stable home where he can get plenty of attention. He'd be great for apartment living or one level spaces with rugs added to any un-carpeted space for him to get around, along with someone or a couple people who are around consistently for plenty of attention until he retreats himself for a nap!
