Story
Hi, my name is Beatrix, it is believed that I`m approximately 1 1/2 years old and came to Macomb County Animal Control as a stray. When I arrived, it was pretty clear that I wasn`t feeling my best, but thankfully, the kind staff nursed me back to health and I am now ready for my furever home.I can be a little shy at first meeting, so please offer me lots of TLC and time to adjust to my new home and surroundings.I have the most beautiful long & soft fur, and I will need regular brushing to avoid any painful matting.I would be best suited in a quiet home with children over the age of 10 who should meet me prior to adoption.I have never lived with dogs, so please, if you have one, slow and proper introductions will be necessary so that we can get used to each other and live a life in peace and harmony. If you are interested in meeting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, they are open M-F from 10am-4pm.I am available at:Pet Supplies Plus42241 Garfield RdClinton Twp, MI 48038586-228-0090My adoption fee is $50

Story
Bubba & Bistro are best buds. They came from a multi-cat home where someone passed away. During the rescue process they always followed us around showing concern for where their friends were going. Bubba & Bisto were rescued separately a couple weeks apart and during the time apart, they each were sad and lonely. When we were able to reunite them into the same foster home, their happiness to see each other confirmed their bond and strong pairing. They are 2 peas in a pod that love snuggling together. They are extra gentle and loving, friendly, and trusting. They love people and greet you with joy. They follow you around, come to you for petting, love to be pet and scratched. Bubba looks up at you with adoring eyes, while Bisto licks your hand to give you a kiss and thank you for your attention. They are loyal, sensitive and empathetic types that will make great companions for someone. Their personalities are mellow, laid-back, quiet but not shy, well-mannered. They will make great buddies for someone who likes to chill and hang out. Bubba is the handsome black & white shorthair, a bundle of love. The brown cat is Bistro, a magnificent longhair, possibly a Mainecoon/Norwegian Forest. They are both fixed and fully vetted. About 5 years old.

Story
Macy is a stunning medium-hair black female. Everyone who sees her says how gorgeous she is. She is also sweet and affectionate. She loves be pet while she rolls and twirls enjoying the attention, and sits still for a good brushing. She is precious and will be a loyal companion to someone who can make her feel special. Macy is shy at first and will need someone who is patient at gaining her trust. She is a great gal, who desperately wants someone to connect with her. Then she leans in against your leg to sit right by your side. She likes to hang out, watch tv, look out the window, and play with toys. She will probably do best as an only pet in a calm, quiet environment. She has waited patiently, but is eager to have a home she can call her own with someone to love and play with her and show her that she's important. If you're looking to help a cat that needs placement sooner than later, please consider Macy. She's available for foster or adoption. She is healthy, fixed, and fully-vetted, about 4 years old.

Story
Orangie Long-Haired Orange Tabby Estimated Birthday 1/22/2022 Hi, my name is Orangie. In January of 2024, I showed up and sat on the porch my good Samaritan. I scratched on the door and was let inside. I tested for diseases at All About Animals and got a clean bill of health and received my vaccinations there. A couple months later I was neutered and microchipped. My good Samaritan gave me full house access and I love looking out windows and taking naps by the big bay windows and cat tree's. I'm an alpha male and didn't get along with the other kitties at the house, so my Samaritan knew that I needed to be the only kitty. A couple of Con men pretended that they would love me and take care of me, but they abused me and dumped me and now I have FIV. My Samaritan re-rescued me and is trying again to get me with someone special. I just need a homeowner who will love me and protect me & watch me around open doors and screens, so I don't sneak out. I don't like being locked in a room.

Story
Meet Winifred, a young feline with a heart full of love. Despite her shy demeanor, she's incredibly sweet and friendly. Her gentle nature is soothing, making her the perfect companion for quiet nights in. Winifred is FIV+, which means she has a weakened immune system. Winifred will need someone to keep up with her yearly vet checkups to make sure any concerns are caught early. Research shows that FIV cats may have a similar life expectancy to uninfected cats. Winifred doesn't let FIV+ slow her down, she is happy and healthy even with FIV+. She's a purr machine, her loud, clear purrs can turn any bad day around. Winifred thrives in the company of other cats, her gentle nature allowing her to get along well with others. Other cats make her feel more confident and secure. Winifred will need a home with another kitty friend. Her sisters Sarah and Mary are available if you have room in your home and heart for two. With her fluffy, soft coat, she's a joy to cuddle with. Winifred's gorgeous spirit shines through in everything she does. She should be adopted because she has so much love to give. She just needs someone to give a shy cat a chance. Her quiet, gentle nature would make her the perfect addition to any family willing to give her the love and patience she deserves. Winifred is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org. Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
