Story
Pyewacket was found as a homeless young cat. He was nervous with new people and still takes his time to decide if a situation is safe. He absolutely loves other cats and when he warms up to a person, it's well worth the wait. If you want to know more about this cat, email us here: wacvolunteers@gmail.com! * AGE: about 4 months * TEMPERAMENT: quiet and likes to observe. prefers serene environments * Why are they at the shelter? found abandoned * Any Health issues? None known * How are they with other cats? Dogs? Great with cats and ok with gentle dogs * Volunteer Comments? "such a little prince" Thank you for your interest in adopting a shelter cat! NOW HOW DO I MEET OR ADOPT THIS CAT? !. Go to our website at wacshelter.com. 2. Click on the "Apply To Adopt" button to submit an online adoption application. ** NOTE: You will get an email confirmation that we have received your application. If you do not see this email appear upon submission, please check your "spam" folder. 3. A completely filled out application will take 1-3 days to process! Missing or inaccurate answers may invalidate the application. 4. We will set up a time with you to meet the animal you've applied to adopt! ** NOTE: Our volunteers strive to make the best possible match once the application is accepted. Our goal is a fit that benefits both the cat and the home! ** We DO give preference to applicants with verifiable pet experience. All cats are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV negative unless otherwise indicated. All cats are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. All of our resident cats use their litter boxes unless otherwise indicated. Cats are naturally inclined to use a litter box. Cat Fact: If a domestic cat is not using a litter box THEY ARE TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING IS WRONG! It should never be ignored! Your cat is depending on you for help. Our adoption fee for felines is $65. That covers the cost of spay/neuter, FeLV/FIV test, deworming, flea prevention (if applicable) and vaccinations (if applicable). We look forward to meeting you! Story
Due to technical issues with some adoption sites, please email us directly at info@sheltertohome.com to inquire about adopting or to ask questions. Please include the animal's name in the email. Barney lives in his foster home. Please contact his foster Mom at nknapp@sheltertohome.com Barney came to us with a severe wound to his face and eye. He has recovered beautifully and is ready for his furever home! He snuggles like it's his job and he's vying for a promotion. He seems to be intimidated by other cats, but warms up to them within a week or so; he loves running and playing! Barney is FIV+, which means that he is immune-compromised. FIV is only transmissible through deep bite wounds and mating. He won't be seducing the ladies and is an indoor-only cat, so the risk is minimal. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**November 5, 2024, 10:11 am
