Story
Luke Male grey and white DLH Estimated age: 5.5 years old He is getting used to being the center of attention in his foster home which he had not had before. He has lived with a small (11 lb) dog and other cats. A lot of commotion makes him nervous, so he would do best in a house that isn't super loud and busy. He loves pets and will start purring the moment you give him scratches. He had severe and painful dental disease when he first came into the rescue. He had a dental cleaning and 14 teeth removed, so he is feeling much better now! He still eats hard food with no issues, but loves wet food as well. He has also had bloodwork done. The veterinarian heard a heart murmur during his exam but not while he was under anesthesia, so he likely has a stress-induced murmur. To be extra cautious, he did also have 3-view chest x-rays to rule out lung changes or overall heart enlargment which was thankfully all normal! Backstory: Luke came from a home where there were over 70 cats living in and around the home! We've been able to help with around 50 cats from this house so far but it has not been an easy task. It started a year and a half ago when a group of volunteers including a veterinarian from a local clinic had been going out to the house to pull cats to slowly chip away at the numbers. They were prioritizing sick cats, moms/kittens, and females who were not spayed as the main goal is to stop the cycle as quickly as possible. We were prioritizing sick cats, moms with kittens, unfixed cats, and babies. Recently we had the help of an amazing local organization so we could bring in 30 cats at a time for vet care and we had a foster available who could take in Luke and a few other cats. Location: He is currently residing at the Happy Cat Cafe (www.happycatgr.com) if you would like to meet him. Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption. Story
Princess Donut is a gorgeous long-haired tuxedo 3 year old (born about 2/6/2023) sweetie. She loves being brushed which keeps her coat healthy, fluffy, and shiny. She rolls all over the floor and purrs loudly when she is being brushed and it’s adorable to see. Donut is the perfect mix of a cat. She is very independent and will explore at her leisure but she will usually come and crawl into your lap after she is done exploring. She communicates when she wants attention with a cute raspy little meow. She has a loud purr and definitely lets you know that she’s enjoying herself. She loves to knead and is a “master biscuit maker” when she’s happy and even makes “air biscuits.” When visitors come, she is outgoing but she can be a little shy at first but she is too curious to hide for very long. We don’t have any experience with her with children but we anticipate that she will do best with older children or adults only. We also don’t know how she will do with other animals. Donut is very playful and especially loves string toys, laser lights, and catnip. She has a very sweet social disposition and is very gentle. She will allow you to pick her up and carry her around but her foster mom isn’t sure that she enjoys it but she will allow it. It seems highly likely that in a new forever home that if allowed, she would sleep with her new family. Another fun thing about Donut is that she has an adorable overbite so her tongue hangs out sometimes when she’s relaxed and/or happy. She loves to just be in the room with her humans, independently choosing whether to take naps, watch birds, or come looking for pets or playtime. She is simply a wonderful cat to be around. Story
Brownie is approximately 10 years old and she is “usually” a black long haired cat but after a recent shaving for some seriously matted fur, you can’t tell that she is a long haired cat. The only evidence is her big puff ball tail on her tiny almost 6 pound body. Her foster mom said that Brownie is very good at helping with the housework as her tail is acting like a dust mop. Once her hair grows back in, it will be important for her new family to carefully brush her so that her coat will stay in good condition. Her previous owner was unable to do so due to health issues. Brushing is a good opportunity to bond with her. She will go to her new home after having a dental which is a great benefit to an adopter to have this taken care of along with senior bloodwork and other testing that all came back great. Brownie appears to be deaf as she doesn’t respond to any sounds. She seems to be adjusting well in her foster home and we are just learning her personality more. It appears that she will enjoy petting and will likely sleep with someone if given the chance. We don’t know how she will be with children or other animals. Can you find room in your heart for this sweet petite gal?

Story
Ivy is a beautiful long-haired brown tabby with warm tones and a fluffy tail. She’s a well-loved indoor cat with a very affectionate, gentle personality. She thrives on human connection and loves lounging in a sunny window or curling up in your lap for a cozy afternoon. At night, she enjoys snuggling close and being part of your routine—she truly bonds with her person. Ivy does well with children and loves being brushed and petted. She is fully litter trained and very comfortable in a home environment. She would do best as the only pet, where she can have all the attention and feel secure. Ivy is looking for a calm, loving home where she can relax, be spoiled, and share lots of cuddles. She’ll make a loyal, comforting companion for someone who wants a close, affectionate bond with their cat.
