Story
Hi my name is Paws! I am a shy cat looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. Once I get comfortable, I will come out of my shell and start to show more of my true personality. After all, the best things in life are worth waiting for – like a special bond with a cat who likes the calmer side of life.I tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (or FIV). With good nutrition and routine wellness care, a healthy cat that is FIV positive can live a long, happy life. Please call or come in to find out more.

Story
Hello, my name is Zen! I am trying my best to be a cat that would be happy in a variety of households. I have a lot to offer and I am sure to be a great companion when given the time, space and patience I need to adjust. So bring the whole family meet and see I just might be the right fit for you! Zen is Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive. FeLV is a serious virus that is contagious to other cats (but not contagious to people or other species of animals). It may cause a shortened lifespan but FeLV cats have so much fun and love to give. Please call or come in to find out more. I am currently under the care of the shelter medical team at HSHV. If you would like to learn more about me, please reach out to the Adoption Desk at (734) 662-5585.

Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Twig is a stray who turned up on my doorstep a couple of months ago. It took quite awhile, but when he warmed up to us he proved to be a sweet and affectionate cat. I already have two cats, and cannot take on another one at this time. I believe he is neutered - doesn't spray, doesn't wander, and to my knowledge does not fight with other neighborhood cats. He's super pretty and I think would thrive in a single-cat home as an indoor pet.

Story
Tucker is a sweet loving, but sassy kitty. She does not get along well with small children. Older children are fine as long as they know when she’s done receiving love, as every interaction has to be on her terms. She likes to chew on shoes with soft rubber soles so it is best to keep them out of her reach. She does great with other cats, but does demand a lot of attention. She is very vocal when she wants something and does have a preference for certain people in the home. She loves snuggling and napping with her human on or under a soft blanket. I’m having to rehome her due to her lashing out at my almost 3 year old multiple times, and I have another little one on the way which she will not do well with.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Daphne is a beautiful kitty with an affectionate and playful personality. Her coat is a beautiful gray with some light Tabby stripes. Daphne is a curious kitty that likes to explore the world around her, and is always ready to chase a toy. She is never shy and always ready for your attention and pets. Now that I have learned more about Daphne in my home I can personally say she is a wonderful young cat. She is the perfect mix of playfulness, loving nature, and a true purring machine. My kids joke that she is more of a dog in a cat's body with how she loves to sprawl out on the floor and even allows belly rubs.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption.
