Sweet Bianca was picked up as a stray.  Bianca is loving and gentle.  Bianca may do well with a kitty companion with patience and a proper introduction.Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. Story
Meet Gray! He is a special type of cat we lovingly call a Spirit cat! Spirit cats are very shy and prefer to spend time out of sight. New people and environments can be overwhelming at first and adopters should expect to see very little of him as he is settling in. We often can’t predict how a spirit cat will be after they settle in - some become comfortable around their family and choose to spend time with them by sharing the same space or allowing some petting, while others continue to prefer to hide when there’s any commotion. Spirit cats generally prefer to spend their time around other cats and make an excellent kitty friend to a cat already in the home. Our staff can help prepare adopters to welcome a spirit cat into a quiet home, but patience and understanding will go a long way with Gray.If you think this cat could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours 11:30am-5pm daily - no appointment or application needed. You are welcome to enter our cat rooms during open hours. Staff and volunteers will be happy to assist you!

Story
Meet Bear! They recently arrived at the shelter and are still settling into their new environment. They are worried, and sweet, so we’re taking it slow as we get to know them and allowing them to build up confidence at their own pace. Adopters should be patient and understanding as it may take Bear a little extra time to feel comfortable in a new home.If you think this cat could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours 11:30am-5pm daily - no appointment or application needed. You are welcome to enter our cat rooms during open hours. Staff and volunteers will be happy to assist you!

Not good with kids, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We call her Shoe, like the old woman who lived in one and had too many kids, because apparently she was allowed to breed indiscriminately for 10 years (at least) and was living on an open porch before I took her and 4 kits in. She is spayed now, of course, but she's partially deaf from horrifying ear infections that I cleaned up and have since resolved. She's much calmer after having been spayed and is looking for a quiet home where she can relax and find love. She really does want to be friendly, and she sleeps on a corner of my bed when my other cat is not around.
