Sweet Bianca was picked up as a stray.  Bianca is loving and gentle.  Bianca may do well with a kitty companion with patience and a proper introduction.Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS.  Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org.  A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references.  You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved.  Please note it can take up to 48 hours. We call her Shoe, like the old woman who lived in one and had too many kids, because apparently she was allowed to breed indiscriminately for 10 years (at least) and was living on an open porch before I took her and 4 kits in. She is spayed now, of course, but she's partially deaf from horrifying ear infections that I cleaned up and have since resolved. She's much calmer after having been spayed and is looking for a quiet home where she can relax and find love. She really does want to be friendly, and she sleeps on a corner of my bed when my other cat is not around.

SEBASTIAN AND JEREMY! A BONDED PAIRTwo`s a charm with these adorable boys. Sebastian is the more outgoing of the pair and really helps Jeremy find his playful side. They sleep and cuddle together and can even be seen giving each other baths. MISTY!Sweet and gentle Misty is looking for a quiet, adult-only home (perhaps with only one person) since that is what she has known. Misty chills and does her own thing in her bed and as soon as someone says hello, she sends her beautiful, fluffy tail into the air, purrs and `makes biscuits.` Where pets are concerned, Misty turns to `head butt mode` asking for more if you slow down! Minnie came into our care when, despite her family's best efforts, she was being continually bullied by the other cats in the house. Minnie doesn't dislike other cats, but is quite nervous around them. As such, she would likely do best as the only cat in her new home. She is a very sweet, social girl, who likes pets and play time (and, just between us, she could use a little more play time to help her lose a bit of weight).

Fruit Loop: I am a beautiful fluffy tortie! I can be sweet on my own terms when I am given time to warm up. When I am not seeking attention, I am a very independent, low-maintenance gal with good litter box manners! I previously lived with a baby and a 12-year old, and I was pretty uncomfortable around them. I communicated my discomfort by scratching, so I am looking for a home without kids to keep my stress levels as low as possible! I have a history of ingesting edible items. My previous owners stated that I had two obstructions when I was between the ages of 1 - 3 which required surgery to remove the items. I haven`t had any incidents of this since those times years ago, but my adopters should be mindful to keep anything that could cause an obstruction out of my reach. I seem to have a sensitive stomach and have been vomiting several times a week. My adopters should follow up with their primary veterinarian as currently all medical is coming back as normal. I am easily stressed/overwhelmed during transitions, and I am looking for an adopter who is willing to give me as much time as I need to settle in. This could be a couple of days or a couple of weeks. My success will be dependent upon how well my adopters are able to read and understand my body language. It is recommended that I be set up in my own space, an extra bedroom or bathroom, a space that no one will access unless feeding or cleaning. I should be left alone initially as I adjust. This space should include plenty of hiding places, ideally with access to vertical surfaces such as a cat tree or cat-proofed shelf, and easy access to a bed, litter box, food, and water. Gradually give me more access to the home only when I am confidently moving about my environment and I remain confident with relaxed body language when my adopter spends time with me. My previous adopters let the shelter know that I will growl, hiss, and scratch if pursued when I am hiding!! I am looking for a VERY quiet, low-traffic home with a cat-savvy adopter with lots of patience! I was affectionate on my terms with my previous adult owners, but I have always been quite nervous with other people,, which I would show by hiding and hissing. I am not going to be a very social cat, and it will take me a long time to build a relationship with my new family, but if I am given the time and option to do so at my pace, I will make someone a great low-maintenance co
