Fruit Loop: I am a beautiful fluffy tortie! I can be sweet on my own terms when I am given time to warm up. When I am not seeking attention, I am a very independent, low-maintenance gal with good litter box manners! I previously lived with a baby and a 12-year old, and I was pretty uncomfortable around them. I communicated my discomfort by scratching, so I am looking for a home without kids to keep my stress levels as low as possible! I have a history of ingesting edible items. My previous owners stated that I had two obstructions when I was between the ages of 1 - 3 which required surgery to remove the items. I haven`t had any incidents of this since those times years ago, but my adopters should be mindful to keep anything that could cause an obstruction out of my reach. I seem to have a sensitive stomach and have been vomiting several times a week. My adopters should follow up with their primary veterinarian as currently all medical is coming back as normal. I am easily stressed/overwhelmed during transitions, and I am looking for an adopter who is willing to give me as much time as I need to settle in. This could be a couple of days or a couple of weeks. My success will be dependent upon how well my adopters are able to read and understand my body language. It is recommended that I be set up in my own space, an extra bedroom or bathroom, a space that no one will access unless feeding or cleaning. I should be left alone initially as I adjust. This space should include plenty of hiding places, ideally with access to vertical surfaces such as a cat tree or cat-proofed shelf, and easy access to a bed, litter box, food, and water. Gradually give me more access to the home only when I am confidently moving about my environment and I remain confident with relaxed body language when my adopter spends time with me. My previous adopters let the shelter know that I will growl, hiss, and scratch if pursued when I am hiding!! I am looking for a VERY quiet, low-traffic home with a cat-savvy adopter with lots of patience! I was affectionate on my terms with my previous adult owners, but I have always been quite nervous with other people,, which I would show by hiding and hissing. I am not going to be a very social cat, and it will take me a long time to build a relationship with my new family, but if I am given the time and option to do so at my pace, I will make someone a great low-maintenance co

This deliciously handsome long-haired orange and white young adult male is called Creamsicle.  He is deliciously handsome and loving in spirit and temperament.   He was part of the cat colony on a rural property that a lady bought and inherited close to 40 cats. The rare element about this is that 99.9% of all the cats are loving and friendly and highly adoptable. Critter Calvary has meticulously worked on vetting all of the cats and getting them spayed and neutered. This boy is in a great foster home waiting for an even greater future for his life. Sweet Bianca was picked up as a stray.  Bianca is loving and gentle.  Bianca may do well with a kitty companion with patience and a proper introduction.Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. I got Sassafras from the Lowell Humane Society back in 2023. She is just over 4 years old. Her birthday is September 13, 2020. I would love to see her go to a quiet home as she is a loner and tends to get tired of company quickly. When I got her, I was single and the only person in the house. We developed a nice bond. She is loving to me and purrs a lot when we sit quietly together. She can be playful at times... little toy on a stick, a little fluffy ball or even just a shoe lace and she'll have fun. She is also very tough with everyone else including pets. She will move close to a person and rub up against their leg but then quickly will hiss and sometimes she will slap at the person's foot with no claws. She runs from other pets. I've never seen her with another cat but now that my girlfriend has moved in with me, Sassafras won't go near her 2 dogs. Sassafras now lives in two rooms in the basement and the dogs aren't allowed down there. I want her to be happy in a nice quiet home.
