Story
Meet Wednesday! 🐾 This sweet, long-haired girl is a total lovebug who’s always waiting by the door to greet you with excitement. She’s friendly, curious, and absolutely loves to be around people. Wednesday is the perfect balance of playful and cuddly — she’ll be your little shadow, rubbing up against your legs, purring up a storm, and showing you just how much she loves being held and cuddled. Her playful nature shines through in her adorable game of carrying around her foam ball and doing little figure-8s around your legs. Wednesday is a true lap cat, and if you’re lucky, she’ll settle in right on your lap, ready for some quality bonding time. Wednesday could happily live with another cat, and she’s even met a chill, cat-savvy dog and was perfectly comfortable with them. She’s also met a respectful 10-year-old and did well, though it’s unclear how she’d feel about younger kids. She’s brave, curious, and loves to explore her environment, but she also enjoys her quiet moments and will hang out with her sisters when she feels like it. Food is definitely one of Wednesday’s favorite things, and she’s very food motivated, which means treats and meals are a great way to win her heart even more! If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly, and playful companion who’s sure to brighten your day, Wednesday is the perfect match. She’s ready to bring her love, playfulness, and gentle spirit into a loving home where she’ll thrive. 💖

Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
Henry is an 8 year old affectionate boy that loves people. He gets along well with other cats, but isn’t a fan of dogs. It has been a difficult decision to try to rehome him. We got a dog for my daughter about a year ago & Henry has retreated to the basement to avoid the dog. I think he would be much happier in a better suited environment.

Story
Tina is a sweet, gentle and curious black cat -- and a bit goofy. She loves to hang out with the family and loves kids. She will occassionally cuddle on your lap but also likes to spend her time exploring. She has a big personality and although she loves time with her humans, Tina has started to struggle with behavior around other animals. After a cross country move she has developed anxiety toward her cat housemates that resulted in them being put into separate spaces and limits their freedom and interaction. Despite our love for her, we think Tina would thrive in a home where she can get as much attention from her owners as she deserves. While she has a relaxed demeanor her anxiety around other pets makes it challenging for her to coexist with other animals so we would not be willing to rehome her to a house with another pet. We have no timeline and are looking a great match where she can run around the house with a laser pointer and get zoomies and also lounge about snoozing.
