Story
Howl is a long hair shorthair who turned 1 years old back in April. He is a fun, energetic , friendly and lovable cat. He gets along with other cats. With dogs, he's very curious but comes around after some time. He's great with kids and loves to play. Unfortunately due to moving, we cannot keep Howl so we are looking for a loving and caring home for him.

Story
Female, spayed 7 months Domestic long hair Up to date on vaccines Litterbox trained   You look like Taylor Swift in this ligh- Oh sorry did you catch us singing to our beautiful Taylor? Meet our very own Taylor Swift! After her previous owners were making their own eras tour trying to give her away online, we knew we had to intervene to keep her safe. This gorgeous girl has the beautiful long hair and meows to prove herself as the new Miss Americana! Taylor is permanently in her Lover Era, she's a huge people person and adores cuddles! No stage fright from her, she will walk right up to you! No seriously, she will lay on anyone's lap and purr herself to sleep. When she's not getting her beauty rest, she is practicing for her three-hour daily eras tour show of zoomies and playing with toys, string toys preferably! Being a social girl, Taylor would do well in a home with other cats where she can burn off her energy and show her the ropes of her new home, but only if they sing Welcome to New York. Taylor has spent time with small dogs and would do well with a cat-friendly dog that can match her speed as long as she has somewhere to retreat to! Don't let Kanye stop you from applying to adopt Taylor!   Interested in adopting? Of course, you are! Submit an application here!    November 21, 2024, 10:35 am

Story
Fayette is handsome and fluffy-and I think he's going to be a big boy! He naps with his friends on the cat tree in front of their window. He is VERY purry, often looking for a lap to curl up in. He loves to look at people, climb up to visit and then purr to beat the band. He is hard to resist! The adoption fee for this kitten is $175, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $125 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. For more information, please email hhaag@petconnectrescue.org Cats adopted through PetConnect Rescue must be indoor only, and may not be declawed (unless already declawed at the time of rescue). **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Beautiful Sasha is very sweet and gentle, Persian mix. She has been in a loving home but is back in our care through no fault of her own. She is confused, sad, and desperately needs a loving, stable, but quiet home. She is very frightened with her transition and needs someone patient and understanding. Sasha is about four years old. Will you offer this gentle sweetheart a stable, loving home? * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), combo tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate), treated for parasites, and most have microchips. Tiny kittens go in pairs unless there's a companion animal already in the household. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $150 although some very desirable kitties may be slightly more. For a pair, we reduce the adoption fee slightly.November 6, 2024, 4:36 am

Story
Male, domestic medium hair, approx 3 years old. Personality: Calm, friendly, independent, shy Greg and his white tap shoes (er -- we mean, paws!) can't wait to dazzle his forever family. This guy may seem like a diva, but really, he's easy to please. At three years old, Greg is past his rambunctious kitten years and would much rather spend his days people-watching from your couch. Greg prefers to star in one-man shows and kindly requests to be the only cat in the house. In exchange for your attention, he will allow you to pick him up like a sack of potatoes as a little treat! Greg's life was saved by Tamara B. and her students. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-cats.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. Kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. Kittens born in care to a negative mother will not receive a FIV/FeLV test. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.

Male, domestic longhair, approx 7 months old. Meet Pokey, the independent spirit with a playful side! This easygoing kitten is just as happy snoozing with his siblings as he is curling up solo. He loves a good wrestling match with his littermates but takes a more laid-back approach to people: perfect for someone who appreciates a little feline independence. If you're looking for a kitten who can balance fun and chill, Pokey might be your perfect match! __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application.
