Story
Catelyn is a sweetheart. She is 7 weeks old. The first day that we got her, she was already playing with toys and was very social with us and several visitors. She has never hidden from us and is usually pretty inquisitive as to what we are doing. Catelyn is also an absolute cuddle bug. As I write this entry, she is curled up on my lap. She has never hissed or displayed any maladaptive behaviors. Catelyn is also trained to use the litter box. We are unable to keep her for logistical reasons, but it will be very tough to let her go, so we are looking for a really great home for her. She is spayed but is still due for a round of vaccines. The shelter that we adopted her from has a clinic that does this for a cheaper cost than others in the area. I would be happy to relay this information. Please feel free to contact me with any questions! The adoption fee is definitely negotiable--we are most concerned with finding a good fit for her!

Story
How would you like to start each day off with a tasteful Macchiato, with a dab of Nougat?  You can indulge and enjoy this fluffy Nougat, along with her brother, all day, every day without any concern of calories!  These two little fur balls have dark espresso coloring, mixed with some coffee stains, and topped off with splashes of caramel and cream.  And what delicious, long fur!  You will crave the chance to snuggle your nose into their fur.  Don’t you just want to eat them up?  Nougat and Macchiato will no doubt be purring the minute you pick these sweet treats up.  They definitely have their motors running at all times.  You would never know they both had sinus and eye infections!  He still has a slight residual eye ulcer, which is still healing.  The meds are doing their job, and nothing seems to slow them down.  No need for caffeine with these two around!  Macchiato and his sister Nougat will entertain you all day.  They are charged and ready to play.  And play.  And play.  Up the cat tower, and down the cat tower.  Just pure energy!  They are constantly wrestling and dashing across the floor.  Throw in a couple of take-downs, and a few somersaults here and there, along with jumps straight up into the air!  And where is the wanded toy?  They both go nuts over the 3 little fish on the end.  Which fish do we get first?  How about all 3, as Macchiato drags the entire toy away, with Nougat chasing right behind.  When it is time for a refill, they will eagerly find your lap for a recharge.  Biscuits, anyone?  If you have never had a kitten suckle your arm, get ready to be tickled by Macchiato.  Nougat will seek out her brother, and proceed to make biscuits on his belly.  She almost latches onto him!  Have you ever seen anything so adorable?  Just try not to smile.  Nougat and Macchiato will quickly become your favorite treats to enjoy.  They are the perfect combination of sweetness and strength all stirred up into perfect balls of fur.  Now is the time to spoil yourself with a daily dose of Macchiato and sweet Nougat.  But like most finer things in life, they won’t be around long!  Others are sure to race to indulge in their sweetness.  Order this little Nougat and Macchiato NOW!  Before they sell out.  Nougat and Macchiato are a very bonded pair.  If you ever dreamed about a brother sister pair, your wish has been granted with these two adorable fluff balls!  Estimate birthday is first of  November 2024 .  Please contact critter cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   March 6, 2025, 12:59 pm

Story
Loki is an incredibly affectionate cat. He is the definition of a lap cat. He is loyal, calm, and loving. He likes to jump up on the couch or on shelves, but is otherwise very relaxed. He loves meal time and is very grateful when given treats (he loves the mousse treats most). He is well house trained and never has accidents in the house. He is very timid around other pets, and will run from them and hide until he gets acclimated to them. But he is extremely friendly to people, great with kids. He adores head scratches and his laser pointer. We rather have someone adopt him directly, than send him to a shelter. Please consider adopting him. He is the best and I will miss him very much. Thank you!

Story
Female, DLH, 6 months old Peach is new to the rescue and we can't wait to find out more about them. If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-cats.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. Kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. Kittens born in care to a negative mother will not receive a FIV/FeLV test. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.
