Story
Emy Lou is a spirited and playful 1.5-year-old tabby cat with beautiful striped fur. From the moment she entered the world, Emy Lou has been a source of joy and entertainment for everyone around her. Her days are filled with adventures, whether she's exploring every nook and cranny of her home or chasing after her favorite toy mouse. Despite her young age, Emy Lou has grown from a hissy baby to a lap cat. She only comes to lay on her owner when they are lying in bed at night, a special moment that her owner cherishes. Though they are still working on letting her owner touch her paws, the bond between them grows stronger each day. Emy Lou loves to curl up in cozy spots, especially by a sunny window, where she can keep an eye on the world outside. She is known for her curious nature, always eager to investigate new objects and sounds. In her downtime, Emy Lou enjoys lounging on soft blankets and receiving plenty of belly rubs. Her sweet and loving personality makes her the perfect feline friend, bringing warmth and happiness to her household. Emy Lou is also good with other cats and dogs, making her a delightful companion in a multi-pet home. Apply to adopt at https://stepuptosave.org/adopt-a-pet/

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sweet boy Crowley loves to do all the kitten things like play with toys, chase a laser pointer, and have a good run up and around a cat tree. He has a blast playing with other cats too! Now 2.5 months old, he was found on the street by a Good Samaritan as just a baby. Despite his rough start to life, he is learning to trust and LOVES attention. Crowley is looking for a patient adopter who can give him the time he needs to get used to his new home. He would do best in a quieter home with another cat so he can learn from them and gain confidence. If you don't have another cat at home, he'd do best to be adopted with another confident kitten in our care (discount for adopting a pair)! Help us give this adorable guy the life he deserves! ADOPTION FEES Altered kitten - $150 Pair of altered kittens - $220 Cat 6 months or older - $75 Adoption fees cover the cost of care and veterinary services. All adoptable cats have received: Spay/neuter surgery if over 2lbs Distemper vaccine Rabies vaccine (if over 16 weeks old) De-wormer and flea prevention medication Veterinary exam Test for FIV and FeLV Microchip ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Submit an application, including the cat's name that you are interested in or description of what you are looking for. Cat/kitten adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Cat 4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application within 1-3 days. 5. If approved, you will be introduced to the foster to schedule a meeting within 5 days. Guidelines for the meeting are: - Bring a carrier and be prepared to take the animal home directly from the meeting. - Please be prepared to submit the adoption fee via electronic payment at the meeting. - If all goes well, the cat will go home with you directly after the meeting. If you are not ready to adopt at the conclusion of the meeting, please understand that we may process other applications for the cat. Because we have a limited number of foster homes, we cannot hold cats past adoption. 6.
