Chrysanthemum is a sweet, confident, big personality kitty in a small package. Weighing just 7 lbs at 5 years old doesn’t hold her back one bit. Found on the streets of Baltimore, Chrysanthemum was found caked and matted in her own excrement. We have no clue how she ended up this way, but she bounced back and loves fiercely as if she was never wronged. She loves to jump up to reach your hand and rub her face into it. She has the cutest little meows and will let you know when it`s time for food and pets. She loves to play with her little ball toys and lounge in comfy spots when you’re busy. Chrysanthemum is good with dogs (doesn’t pay them any mind) but needs a forever home without any other cats. Winona, or Winnie, was my brother-in-law's cat that I took in when he passed away in 2023. The vet could not give an accurate age for her because she still has some of her baby teeth although I believe her to be around 2 years old. I am looking for a new home for Winnie that is kind and attentive. She is energetic and sassy and would be a wonderful addition to your life!

Hi, my name is Caroline and while I am a little more reserved then my companion, cinnamon, I am just as friendly. I love getting pets, and like when cinnamon grooms me. I spent the first few years of my life on and off the streets of Baltimore, and really want to find a forever home for cinnamon and myself.

Holly was originally adopted in back in 2020 as a small kitten. She lived comfortably with a family until they had a baby, and then another baby. Holly was returned after the family said she did not get along with the young children. We do not know how Holly is with other cats, dogs, or older children. Holly is understandably very scared and confused right now. She is a sweet girl, but just needs someone to be patient with her.  She has beautiful long hair that will need to be brushed regularly or professionally groomed.  Interested in adopting a kitty?! The first step in the adoption process is the adoption application which is located on our website rescueandadopt.org/adopt Our website includes a lot of info, including a FAQ page with lots of answers. From there if all looks good we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet with you and a the adoptable kitty. We are a foster system so we do not have a facility. Visits to meet an adoptable animal at a foster family is by appointment only. If all goes well at the meet and greet, the next step from there would be the home check and adoption visit where we bring the kitty with us to your home to ensure that you have all the basic supplies set up in an isolation/ introduction room. We can also help answer any additional questions you may have at this time. Then we would do the adoption paperwork and finalize the adoption.  Adoption fees: $150 for kittens and cats under 5 years old. $125 for cats 5 years old and over. Chanel is a proper prom queen. She`s got The Look. She`s got The Personality. She`s got...Diarrhea? Well, sometimes, yeah. Before we talk about her special needs when it comes to `powdering her nose`, we want to properly introduce Miss Popularity - Miss Chanel. A social butterfly who loves to play with other kitties and even small dogs, she`s like one of those popular girls who is popular because she`s SO pretty and SO nice and SO cool and you almost hate her but can`t help but to love her because she`s just so....PURRFECT. Even Chanel`s hobbies help highlight her best features: she stares out the window at birds and squirrels, catching the sun in her perfect blue eyes. When she naps, she curls up with her foster mom with her soft, gorgeous fur and smells like lavender and sunshine (well, we don`t know that for sure, but just look at her. that`s our guess). She even has a big room all to herself, but honestly, that`s the part we`re hoping to change. Chanel came to AARF as an extremely tiny kitten and due to a congenital condition that resulted in an inability to pass poo, she underwent a surgery that removed most of her colon. After over two years of healing and care with her foster family, she is finally ready for adoption. Chanel is on a special diet along with B12 and probiotics that help keep the booty-floods at bay. Now and then, there may be a drop of poo, but honestly, a little scat shouldn`t dissuade you from adopting this otherwise perfect cat. Chanel has blossomed in her foster home, but spends much of her time in a big, comfy private room - when she would much prefer run of the house with a family of her home. She`s labeled `Special Needs`, but honestly, her needs are primarily a family that will maintain her diet, and give her the endless love she deserves. Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. 'Mush'] (NM, Brown Tabby?, DLH?/Maine Coon?, ~7+ years?) & Scout (NM, Black, DSH, ~6+ years?) Mush[mellow] never liked hanging out at the salad bowl, but his food bowl is his claim to fame and weight gain. Scout waits patiently for his turn. And even though Mush also hogs their bed, Scout still loves him and they always work it out. They are best buds for life! Two gentle giants who were found at our local Rite Aid, and are, thus, referred to as the "Rite Brothers". That said, we don't know whether they are siblings, or even related at all, though it is clear they are strongly bonded and have great affection for one another. Mushmellow was initially quite larger than Scout, so we believe there may be some age difference. Whatever the case, they are both big dudes who will need lots of exercise - along with a relatively strict diet. Mushmellow has a tendency to give some pretty strong 'love bites', but he means well.
