Story
Chrysanthemum is a sweet, confident, big personality kitty in a small package. Weighing just 7 lbs at 5 years old doesn’t hold her back one bit. Found on the streets of Baltimore, Chrysanthemum was found caked and matted in her own excrement. We have no clue how she ended up this way, but she bounced back and loves fiercely as if she was never wronged. She loves to jump up to reach your hand and rub her face into it. She has the cutest little meows and will let you know when it`s time for food and pets. She loves to play with her little ball toys and lounge in comfy spots when you’re busy. Chrysanthemum is good with dogs (doesn’t pay them any mind) but needs a forever home without any other cats. She has excellent litter box manners. If you`d like to take Chrysanthemum home, please fill out an adoption application at this website – https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application – and choose Chrysanthemum! Her adoption fee is $150 and AARF`s adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like Chrysanthemum for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of them have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all AARFies entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

Meet Bellatrix, the lovely senior lady cat who entered our shelter alongside her companion, Lucas. Despite finding themselves in need of a new home, Bellatrix and Lucas have maintained their sweet dispositions. We're currently assessing if they're a bonded pair, but they can be adopted together in the meantime!Bellatrix is a gentle soul who may take a little time to cozy up to you, but once she does, she's all about the snuggles and attention. Story
Winona, or Winnie, was my brother-in-law's cat that I took in when he passed away in 2023. The vet could not give an accurate age for her because she still has some of her baby teeth although I believe her to be around 2 years old. I am looking for a new home for Winnie that is kind and attentive. She is energetic and sassy and would be a wonderful addition to your life!

Story
This long-haired black tuxedo beauty has been around the block a time or two. Ruthie is a middle-aged Karen with high standards and strong opinions. She cuts the deli line with zero regard and demands to speak to the manager. She loves people (most of the time) and is comfortable with dogs (as long as they know she's in charge), but is a total diva and needs to be the only cat in your life. She loves to sleep in bed with you and snuggle against your neck. Ruthie is a tidy, quiet, litterbox expert and a perfect roommate.

Story
Pidgey is a petite, fluffy snuggly girl-though we think she's about 8, you might just have a forever kitten on your hands (without the bad kitten behavior!)! She loves being around her humans, acting as a shadow as you move around the house, and enjoys playtime with you or on her own. One of her favorite pastimes is trying to convince you to get into bed to cuddle, where she can find her perfect snoozing spot. Pidgey is well-behaved (with superb litter-box manners!) and can get along with other kitties with the proper introduction. Pidgey was surrendered with her older sister Neazy, but they can be adopted separately.

Story
Meet Neazy! Neazy is a well-behaved and easy going senior, just looking to enjoy life in a new home. This fluffy senior kitty likes to spend her day snoozing in her favorite cat bed, occasionally attacking a wand toy or her favorite blue mouse, and watching birds out the window while basking in the sun. Though Neazy is a sassy old lady, don't let her RBF fool you! She's a sweetheart who loves humans and chin-scritches, still enjoys a good romp in the catnip, and shows her excitement with "shaky-tails" when receiving pets or treats! This ole' gal has a lot of love left to give. Neazy is well-behaved and has great litterbox manners, and while she will tolerate other kitties, she won't be their best friend. Neazy was rescued from BARCS with her younger sister Pidgey, but they can be adopted separately.

Story
Meet Bagel! Bagel is a BIG BOY with beautiful, long fur and a majestic tale. He is truly stunning. But don't let his size fool you - this cat is incredibly gentle and sweet, and will follow you around the house rubbing against your feet. He's also incredibly fond of other cats, especially his sister Lox. Bagel was trapped as an older kitten, so he takes a bit longer to trust new humans. As long as you give him lots of treats and attention, he will come around quickly and be a wonderful addition to your family. Bagel would do well in a home with no young children, with patient adopters who understand not all cats trust new humans the first day. He must go to a home with his sister, Lox, or a home with other playful, friendly cat companions.

Story
Meet 16-week old Phil and his adorable floofy brother, Ruben! These adorable babies were rescued when they were discovered fending for themselves under a row of abandoned/run-down cars right off of a very busy road, and eating out of the dumpster behind a restaurant. Well, luckily, here they are with us, living life to its fullest and they are just the sweetest little babies, still learning to trust, who deserve nothing but the best from here on out. They are the most playful, adorable babies who would love to find a forever home together. Are you willing to open your home and hearts to an adorable pair of rescue kittens? They are looking for a home that will open up its hearts to a PAIR of babies, allowing them to spend their entire lives by each other's sides. Kittens who are adopted in pairs have a lifelong partner in crime, entertaining themselves while you are away and tend to be much more outgoing and confident than single adopted kittens. We hope to place these sweethearts in the best of homes as that is everything they deserve. Phil and Ruben are fixed, vaccinated, disease tested and microchipped and will come with all medical records.

Story
This adoption is for TWO cats (brother and sister). Our living situation is changing, so we will no longer have pets. These cats are family, not only with us, but with each other. We would like to see them go to a loving, safe and stable home. They have been together since birth, entertain each other, and are perfect together. Coco (girl, brown marble tabby, longhair) - She is like a teenager. She is okay being to herself without a lot of fuss :) Tiger (boy, orange tabby, shorthair) - He is like the baby boy of the family. He loves cuddles and affection. :) They are great for a family, great with individuals or with kids. They will love being part of the family. They are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. They are young adults. Estimated DOB: 4/26/22. Adoption fee is $75 each ($150 total). (Coco’s original name on her paperwork was Elinor or “Ellie” for short. Tiger’s original animal was Edward.)

These pups are in Baltimore, Maryland too!

Story
Chanel is a proper prom queen. She`s got The Look. She`s got The Personality. She`s got...Diarrhea? Well, sometimes, yeah. Before we talk about her special needs when it comes to `powdering her nose`, we want to properly introduce Miss Popularity - Miss Chanel. A social butterfly who loves to play with other kitties and even small dogs, she`s like one of those popular girls who is popular because she`s SO pretty and SO nice and SO cool and you almost hate her but can`t help but to love her because she`s just so....PURRFECT. Even Chanel`s hobbies help highlight her best features: she stares out the window at birds and squirrels, catching the sun in her perfect blue eyes. When she naps, she curls up with her foster mom with her soft, gorgeous fur and smells like lavender and sunshine (well, we don`t know that for sure, but just look at her. that`s our guess). She even has a big room all to herself, but honestly, that`s the part we`re hoping to change. Chanel came to AARF as an extremely tiny kitten and due to a congenital condition that resulted in an inability to pass poo, she underwent a surgery that removed most of her colon. After over two years of healing and care with her foster family, she is finally ready for adoption. Chanel is on a special diet along with B12 and probiotics that help keep the booty-floods at bay. Now and then, there may be a drop of poo, but honestly, a little scat shouldn`t dissuade you from adopting this otherwise perfect cat. Chanel has blossomed in her foster home, but spends much of her time in a big, comfy private room - when she would much prefer run of the house with a family of her home. She`s labeled `Special Needs`, but honestly, her needs are primarily a family that will maintain her diet, and give her the endless love she deserves. If you want to go home with this Prom Queen, contact us to learn more about her!My adoption fee is $150.00 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we`ve already been spayed/neutered (if age appropriate) and microchipped. We`ve been checked by a veterinarian, and we`re up to date on age appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia). Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely

Story
Please note that the cat that my husband and I like to call Relentless is in the Maine Coon cat family of cat breeds. Our neighbors were under the impression that they could manage to breed pit bulls, Maine Coon cats, and five children of their own without properly nurturing the beautiful animals that they intended to be responsible for. Instead of finding a home for this lovely, nice, personable kitten, they refused to allow her back in their home for months. After she was about to breed kittens again amid the hurricane season, my husband had prepared a nice shelter and cushioned area outdoors where she decided to live until her kittens were born; my husband and I made certain she was fed, warm, and dry until she had her litter of kittens. Once she had her litter, we were uncertain about how many kittens were born until she was prepared to share them. Approximately three (3) weeks ago, she brought her kittens to our home on the front porch, which brings us to now.

Story
Plea for help from Jonathan: “My friend and I took in several feral cats a while ago. Most are now socialized and many are bonded pairs/families. Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. We are looking for good homes for them.   We are located in Clinton, MD (southern PG County). The best method of reaching us is: zcathouse.md@gmail.com”   Mushmellow [a.k.a. 'Mush'] (NM, Brown Tabby?, DLH?/Maine Coon?, ~7+ years?) & Scout (NM, Black, DSH, ~6+ years?) Mush[mellow] never liked hanging out at the salad bowl, but his food bowl is his claim to fame and weight gain. Scout waits patiently for his turn. And even though Mush also hogs their bed, Scout still loves him and they always work it out. They are best buds for life! Two gentle giants who were found at our local Rite Aid, and are, thus, referred to as the "Rite Brothers". That said, we don't know whether they are siblings, or even related at all, though it is clear they are strongly bonded and have great affection for one another. Mushmellow was initially quite larger than Scout, so we believe there may be some age difference. Whatever the case, they are both big dudes who will need lots of exercise - along with a relatively strict diet. Mushmellow has a tendency to give some pretty strong 'love bites', but he means well. Scout, on the other hand, likes to make sure he knows where his 'brother' is most of the time.   Disclaimer: AAHA provides complimentary listings for members of the community who wish to rehome their pet, as well as for other shelters/ rescues to assist them in finding Furever homes.
