Story
Dauphine, affectionately known as Kitty, is a sweet and loving cat who enjoys her daytime naps tucked away in quiet spots, and comes alive at night for lots of pets and cuddles. She’s absolutely beautiful, and is the perfect companion for curling up on the couch and watching a movie! Dauphine did well living with one dog, though she preferred to keep her distance rather than play. She has shown that she thrives in a calm, adult-only household with no other pets. She has struggled with territorial behaviors toward a new child in the home, but with the right environment she will flourish again. Dauphine deserves a home where she can be the center of attention and feel safe, loved, and relaxed!

Story
This goofy boy is 5 years old. I have had him since he was a kitten. He has never been outside. He has lived with dogs and cats most of his life. We believe that he has some Maine Coon blood as he is a larger cat. He likes to play with dangly things and especially loves the little stuffed mice toys. Lafitte would do best in a home without young children. While he can be very affectionate, it usually needs to be on his terms. He does warm up to strangers pretty quickly, but would need a few days to fully acclimate to a new household.

Story
Hi, I’m Merry! I’m a long-haired tabby girl with the spirit of a Took and the zoomies of a pony fleeing the Black Riders. One minute I’m racing through the house like I just discovered second breakfast, and the next I’m demanding affection as if it’s my birthright (because it is).I’m wild, I’m chaotic, and I absolutely choose adventure. I’ll climb, leap, sprint, and cause just enough mischief to keep life interesting — but don’t let that fool you. When I’m done being brave and ridiculous, I love affection. Pets? Yes. Scratches? Obviously. Being told I’m the prettiest creature in all of Middle-earth? Required.I’d thrive in a home that understands that hobbits are small but mighty, spirited but loving. Give me toys to conquer, windows to survey the Shire from, and a human who appreciates a girl with main-character energy and I’ll pledge my loyalty to you faster than you can say “You bow to no one.”If you’re looking for a fluffy little adventurer who will bring chaos, charm, and a whole lot of love into your fellowship — I’m ready to leave the Shire and make your home my forever journey!________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment only after your application is approved. Story
Hi, I’m Monster Truck—but my foster mom calls me “Monsty” or sometimes “Cookie,” because my soft black-and-white fur looks just like an Oreo. I’m a gentle soul who’s a little shy at first. I haven’t had the easiest past, but once I know I can trust you, I’ll run right up for snuggles. At bedtime, I love to curl up beside you, purring myself to sleep. When you’re away, you can count on me to be a well-behaved boy, either napping in my kitty condo or keeping watch like a loyal guard cat. I don’t hiss, scratch, or bite—kindness is more my style.I get along well with other cats, especially my very best friend Bruno, who helps me feel brave. We’d both be over the moon to find a forever home together, where we can bring double the love, double the cuddles, and double the purrs. But I think I could be brave enough to venture out on my own, if you are there to help me! If you’re looking for two best friends who balance each other perfectly—one outgoing lovebug and one sweet, loyal cuddle buddy—Bruno and I would be the perfect pair for you.
